5-1-20 – Chad W. Wilkins – Felony Driving on a revoked/suspended license DUI.
8-28-20 – A single-vehicle accident involving a cow and a car occurred on Route 93 in Osceola Township. The driver involved was Kelly R. Wright, 36, of Bradford. Wright was eastbound on the highway when she struck a cow in the roadway. No injuries were reported but the vehicle sustained estimated damages over $1,500.
9-3-20 – Billy J. Byrd, 32, Princeville, was arrested on a Knox County warrant and transported to the Knox County Jail.
8-30-20 – Justin A. Atkinson, 32, LaSalle, was arrested for driving on a revoked license and cited for driving without a rear registration light. He posted $250 cash bond and a $47 booking fee before being released with a notice to appear.
9-3-20 – A motorcycle crash occurred on 1400E, Castleton Road. The driver John R. Pogliano IV, 29, of Sheffield, was traveling northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve at the intersection of 920N. The motorcycle left the roadway and went into the ditch. Pogliano was thrown off the motorcycle and later pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash was investigated by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
9-1-20 – A theft complaint was received from Alan L. Curry of rural Toulon who reported he had two Stihl chainsaws stolen from his residence. The incident remains under investigation.
9-2-20 – Chad E. Gillam, 45, Wyoming, reported the theft of his 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle from his property.
9-2-20 – Gregory D. Dixon, 34, Wyoming, turned himself in on an outstanding Piatt County warrant. He posted $150 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
9-3-20 – Mark A. Bunch Jr., 33, of East Peoria, was arrested on a Knox County warrant for failure to appear on the original charge for operating a boat without a numbered sticker. He posted $250 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
9-5-20 – Joshua N. Bainbridge, 36, Peoria, was arrested for speeding 103 mph in a 55 zone, driving under the influence, and driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content over .08 He was later released with a notice to appear and a scheduled court date.
9-5-20 – Ryan M. Milller, 18, Chillicothe, was ticketed for excessive noise with a loud muffler, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, and illegal possession and or consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was released with a court date to appear.
8-31-20 – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street for a physical domestic battery. As a result, Bailey Leverette, 20, Galva, was arrested for domestic battery. He was also issued a civil citation for possession of adult use cannabis. He was taken to the Henry County jail.
8-31-20 – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of NE 4th Ave. for an out-of-control juvenile. He had left the residence prior to police arrival.
8-31-20 – Officer dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave. for a juvenile complaint. The subject was transported by ambulance for evaluation/treatment.
9-1-20 – Officer dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with damage only in the 200 block of Exchange Street. As a result, Cyle Davis, 23, Rio, was issued a citation for using a non-hands free communications device.
9-1-20 – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of NW 2nd Street for a harassment through text messages complaint.
9-1-20 – As the result of a traffic stop on Route 34 just east of town, Jacob McBride, 28, Princeville, was arrested for unlawful use of weapons, possession of cannabis and speeding. He was released with a required court date.
9-2-20 – Officer dispatched to a residence on NW 8th Street to check on the welfare of a citizen.
9-2-20 – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Commercial Street for a 911 open line call. It was determined to be phone issues.
9-2-20 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of SE 2nd Street, Jordan Lewis, 35, Stone Mountain, Ga., was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was released with a required court date.
9-3-20 – Officer dispatched to the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street for a loose dog complaint. The canine turned out to be a young coyote and it ran off.
9-4-20 – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7th Street for a juvenile runaway complaint. The youth was located and returned home.
9-4-20 – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of SE 3rd Ave. for a barking dog complaint. The dog owner was spoken with.
9-5-20 – Officer met with a citizen at the Galva Police Department in reference to an ongoing traffic complaint.
9-5-20 – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3rd Street for a wild animal complaint involving a sick squirrel.
9-5-20 – Officer dispatched to the 500 block of SE 3rd Street for an out-of-control juvenile complaint.
9-5-20 – Officer was notified about a controlled burn in the 1000 block of West Division Street.
9-6-20 – Officer assisted Henry County with a domestic disturbance a few miles north of town.
9-6-20 – Officer dispatched to assist Knox County with an out-of-control juvenile complaint south of Galva.
9-6-20 – As the result of a high-speed pursuit involving a motorcycle and subsequent crash in the 1200 block of James B. Young Road. Dakota Matheny, 20, Cambridge, was arrested for aggravated fleeing and/or eluding, driving on a suspended license, violation of classification, improper use of registration, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving too fast for conditions, failure to use turn signals within 100 feet of an intersection, failure to stop at a stop sign two times, reckless driving, speeding more than 35 mph above the posted limit, possession of adult use cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a notice to appear on all charges and was taken by ambulance for his injuries.
9-2-20 – Rebecca Muckey, 32, Victoria, was issued a citation for not having a vaild registration in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street.
9-4-20 – Paige Eads, 30, Princeville, was issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street.
9-6-20 – Jamar Whiteside, 25, Galva, was issued for disobeying a stop sign in the 100 block of NW 3rd Ave.
