Stark County
8-29-20 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred at 1175E and 1150N. The driver involved was Joe S. Lumpkins Jr., 51, of LaFayette. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle sustained estimated damages over $1,500.
8-25-20 – A Wyoming resident in the 300 block of West Thomas Street reported the theft of a vehicle license plate. The license plate was located by the Peoria Police Department.
8-25-20 – Amy J. Mallery, 44, Kewanee, was cited for driving without insurance.
8-25-20 – Anthony D. David, 22, Kewanee, was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt and driving a vehicle without insurance.
8-25-20 – Jonathan Rambow, 30, Princeville, was ticketed for failure to obey a stop sign. He was released on an individual bond and scheduled for a court date to appear.
8-28-20 – Chase L. Down, 22, Wyoming, was arrested for obstructing or resisting a peace officer. He posted $297 cash bond and a booking fee before being released with a court date to appear.
8-29-20 – Kendall M. Johnson, 23, Peoria was arrested for driving while his license was suspended. He was also cited for speeding 67 mph in a 55 zone. He posted $250 cash bond and a $47 booking fee before being released with a court date to appear.
8-29-20 – A battery complaint was reported in the 500 block of North Seventh Street, Wyoming. Tamara K. Belford, 24, Wyoming, was arrested for battery. She was released with a notice to appear.
8-29-20 – Paulo Castro, 70, El Paso, Texas, was cited for speeding 69 mph in a 55 zone, and driving without vehicle insurance. He was issued a notice to appear.

8-24-20 – Officer met with a citizen in the 300 block of Market Street to release an impounded dog.
8-24-20 – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of NE 2nd Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was captured and returned to its owner.
8-24-20 – Officer dispatched to the 00 block of SE 2nd Ave. for a harassment complaint.
8-24-20 – Officer spoke to a subject by telephone in reference to a landlord/tenant dispute.
8-24-20 – Officer met with a sex offender at the Galva P.D. to renew the yearly sex offender registration.
8-24-20 – Officer dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3rd Street for a reckless driving complaint.
8-24-20 – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of NE 2nd Street for a report of unattended children playing near the street. DCFS was contacted.
8-25-20 – Officer dispatched to a residence on NW 9th Street to check on the welfare of a child who didn’t show up at school.
8-25-20 – Officer dispatched to the 2500 block of Olaf Krans Ave. check on a water leak after a contractor hit the shutoff valve with a skid loader. The water department was also notified and made the necessary repairs.
8-25-20 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of NW 1st Ave., Dustin Gorden, 36, Kewanee, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of meth and theft. He was also issued citations for no valid driver’s license, no valid registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was given a notice to appear and released.
8-26-20 – Officer dispatched to the 500 block of SW 4th Street for a loose and aggressive pit bull. The dog was contained upon the officer’s arrival.
8-26-20 – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of 8th Ave. for a utility wire across the roadway. Mediacom was notified for repairs.
8-26-20 – Officer dispatched to north edge of Galva for a reckless driver complaint. The vehicle was located and the driver was advised of the complaint.
8-26-20 – Officer dispatched to the 400 block of SE 7th Ave. for a burning complaint on a non-burn day.
8-26-20 – Officer was flagged down by a motorist in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street. The driver appeared to be having a medical incident. Stark County Medic was dispatched and transported the subject.
8-26-20 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 700 block of 2nd Street, Brian O Campo, 18, Kewanee, was issued a citation for a violation of the adult cannabis use act. He was released with a court date.
8-27-20 – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a battery complaint.
8-27-20 – Officer was notified that a train had stopped and was blocking all of the Galva crossings. BNSF was contacted and the train eventuallly moved along.
8-27-20 – Officer met with a citizen about a theft complaint.
8-27-20 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd Street, Jewel King, 23, Galva, was issued citations for driving while license suspended and no valid registration. She was released with a required court date.
8-28-20 – Officer dispatched to assist DCFS in the 600 block of NW 3rd Avenue.
8-29-20 – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of 1st Street for a fireworks complaint.
8-29-20 – Officer dispatched to check on a subject in the 100 block of NE 6th Ave. who reportedly fell off a motorized bicycle. The rider advised that he was fine.
8-30-20 – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street for a burning complaint on a non-burn day.
8-30-20 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of NW 5th Street, Gavin Raley, 28, Kewanee, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of meth (three counts) and resisting. He also received a new charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was taken to the Henry County jail.
8-30-20 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of SW 4th Street, Heather Nanninga, 45, Galva, was arrested for improper use of registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.She was released with a required court date.
8-30-20 – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Commercial Street for a possible fight. It was determined to be subjects who were talking loudly.
8-25-20 – Crystal Hart, 29, Kewanee, was issued a citation in the 1000 block of SW 2nd Street for failure to secure a child in a properly adjusted child restraint.
8-25-20 – Barry Cox, 55, Kewanee, was issued a citation for no valid registration in the 200 block of NW 5th Ave.
