Knoblauch, 26, was arrested about 9:30 a.m. June 2 in connection with an incident that happened the previous day in the 100 block of N. Police reports• PEORIA – A Bartonville man is to serve 70 days in the Peoria County Jail in connection with an animal-abuse case last year in Princeville. Stephen D. Kalb, 42, also was sentenced to two years of probation June 5 in Peoria County Circuit Court, according to a report from WMBD-TV in Peoria. Kalb pleaded guilty in April to one count of aggravated cruelty to animals. Police reports • PEORIA – An Elmwood-area man was accused of attacking a construction worker on the McClugage Bridge. The incident occurred about 8 a.m. May 31, according to the Illinois State Police. A state trooper arrived at the bridge above the Illinois River and attempted to speak with the suspect, 44-year-old Nicholas S. Manning, but he fled.
