2-6 – Christian D. Hoover , 18, Wyoming, was cited for improper lane usage and illegal transportation of cannabis. He was released with a notice to appear in court.
2-8 – Harassment and/or threats were the source of a complaint received from a Galva resident.
2-10 – Shawn D. Allen, 35, LaFayette, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content over .08, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He posted $300 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
2-10 – Joshua A. Hurley, 43, Manlius, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited for speeding 70 mph in a 55 zone, driving with a loud and/or defective muffler, no proof of vehicle insurance, and driving without a valid driver’s license. He posted $250 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
2-10 – Chance L. Johnson, 18, Neponset, was ticketed for no insurance. He was released with a notice to appear.
2-10 – Stefanie C. Hartnett, 22, Bradford, was arrested on an out-of-county warrant, but was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. She was taken into custody and transported to the Stark County Jail awaiting a court appearance.
2-11 – William L. Cleary, 27, Kewanee, was ticketed for driving an uninsured vehicle and for speeding 88 mph in a 55 zone.
Galva Report
Officer dispatched:
2-7 – to a residence on SW 4th St. for a welfare check. The subject was found on the floor and was taken by ambulance.
2-7 – While patrolling, officer noticed all of the Galva railroad crossing arms were down and flashing with no train present. Officer directed traffic until an employee from BNSF arrived.
2-7 – assisted Knox County with a traffic stop near the Galva Cemetery.
2-7 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Center Ave., Johnathan Peterson, 27 , Galesburg, was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was released with a required court date.
2-7 – to a residence on NE 6th St. in reference to a threats complaint.
2-8 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street, Connor Vervynck, 20, Galva, was arrested for possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle. He was released with a notice to appear in court.
2-8 – to the 200 block of South Exchange St. for a two-vehicle accident with damage only. A crash report was completed.
2-9 – to assist Henry County with a suspicious person complaint about a mile north of Galva. The subject was located and had run out of fuel. Officer gave subject a ride for gas and he was able to drive off.
2-9 – to the 00 block of SW 9th Ave. for an identity theft/fraud complaint.
2-10 – Officer went to the 200 block of NE 7th St. in attempt to locate a wanted subject. As the result, Braden Jones, 43, Galva, was arrested on a Rock Island Co. warrant for failure to appear on the charge of leaving the scene of an accident. He was able to post bond and was released with a new court date.
2-10 – As the result of a follow-up from a theft complaint, Madison Palmer, 20, Galva, was arrested for theft over $500. She was released with a required court date.
2-10 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SE 2nd St., Joseph Hoke, 50, Galva, was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license. He was released with a required court date.
2-10 – A 17-year-old subject was issued an administration warning ticket (AWT) for disobeying a stop sign on NW 5th St. at NW 3rd Ave.
2-11 – Officer was advised of a vehicle repossession taking place in the 400 block of SW 1st Ave.
2-11 – Officer met with a complainant in reference to a violation of an order of protection. As the result, Barry Cox, 57, Galva, was arrested for violation of an order of protection. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.
2-12 – As the result of an investigation to a fleeing and eluding incident that occurred on Jan. 11, numerous citations were mailed to the driver. As the result, James Cree, 39, rural Galva, was charged with driving while license revoked, reckless driving, failure to yield when exiting a private drive or alley, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, failure to use a turn signal when required and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was given a required court date.
2-12 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of NW 2nd St., Thomas Hoxworth, 55, Galva, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to use a turn signal when required.
2-12 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 3rd Ave., Richard Potter, 56, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was released with a required court date.
2-12 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd St., Rick Hopkins, 46, Galva, was arrested for unlawful display of registration and for failure to transfer vehicle title. He was released with a required court date.
2-12 – Officer was advised of water coming up through the roadway in the 100 block of N. Exchange St. The Galva water dept. was contacted for a broken water main.
2-13 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SW 2nd St., Ryan Prevost, 29, Alpha, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, no rear license plate light and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
2-13 – to the east edge of town for a reckless driver complaint. Officer located the vehicle, but did not have any probable cause for a traffic stop.
2-13 – to a residence on SW 4th St. for a welfare check.
2-13 – Officer assisted Henry County with a two-vehicle accident about two miles north of town.
2-7 – Arthur Hall, 75, LaFayette, was issued a citation for no insurance in the 00 block of SW 2nd St.
2-10 – James Mudd, 45, Galesburg, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1200 block of SE 2nd St.
2-10 – Stephen Westrick, 61, LaSalle, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1300 block of SE 2nd St.
2-11 – Timothy Bresnahan, 64. Monmouth, was issued a citation for speeding in the 600 block of S. Center Ave.
2-11 – A 16-year-old subject from Galva was issued a citation for speeding in the 600 block of S. Center Ave.
2-11 – Rachel Rawlings, 37, Galva, was issued a citation for not having a rear registration light in the 400 block of N. Center Ave.
