Stark County
2-15 – Kevin D. Kull, 41, Neponset, was arrested for driving on a revoked license. He was also cited for illegal transport of adult use cannabis, and for driving without insurance. He posted $250 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
2-17 – Dallas C. Duckworth, 27, Wyanet, was arrested for driving on a suspended license and for driving without vehicle insurance. He posted $250 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
2-17 – A possible identity theft was reported by a rural Wyoming resident on Grain Bin Road. The incident remains under investigation.
2-20 – Amanda Hill, 41, Wyoming, was arrested on an outstanding Stark County warrant for failure to appear on the original charge for criminal trespass to property. Unable to post $100 cash bond, she was taken into custody and transported to the Stark County Jail.
Galva Report
Officer dispatched:
2-14 – Officer contacted about a high-speed pursuit that involved the Kewanee Police Department. The suspect vehicle came through Galva on North Center Avenue at over 100 mph. A Galva officer chose not to pursue due to the risks involved.
2-15 – to assist the Galva Fire Department with a reported odor of smoke detected in the 00 block of NE 5th Ave. They were not able to locate the source.
2-15 – Officer contacted about a high-speed pursuit that involved the Kewanee police department. It was the same suspect as one night earlier. The chase went southbound on Midland Road into Stark County and did not come into Galva.
2-15 – to the 800 block of SE 1st St. for a harassment and threats complaint.
2-15 – to a residence on SW 4th St. for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
2-16 – to a hit-and-run accident that occurred involving damage to a parked vehicle in the 200 block of S. Exchange St. A crash report was completed.
2-16 – As the result of a single-vehicle accident involving a power pole being broken off near the intersection of Chester and Market streets, Chad Wexell, 48, Galva, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a BAC over .08 percent and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released with a required court date. Ameren was contacted for repairs/replacement of the pole and wires.
2-17 – to a 911 call that plotted in the 800 block of SE 1st St. Officer checked the area but did not locate anyone needing assistance.
2-18 – to an activated burglar alarm in the 1300 block of SE 2nd St. It was determined to be a false alarm.
2-18 – to assist Henry County with a report of two vehicles that had slid off the roadway just east of Route 34. Both vehicles were removed.
2-19 – to a residence on SE 4th Ave. for a welfare check.
2-20 – to the 100 block of NE 2nd St. in reference to a property line dispute and an ongoing loose dog issue.
