Incidents & Accidents
Stark County


6-17 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred on Illinois Route 17/91 approximately a half-mile west of 1050E. The driver involved was Jeniah R. Chesser, 38, of Wyoming. There were no injuries reported but the vehicle sustained over $1,500 in estimated damages.
6-18 – Isaiah J. Adams, 24, Bradford, was charged with domestic battery and violation on an order of protection. He was released with a notice to appear in court.
6-21 – A complaint involving a verbal disturbance was handled at the Goshen Township building.
6-21 – Authorities received a report of criminal damage to property and vandalism from an area near Faith Bible Camp in rural Wyoming.
6-25 – Maurico Barragan-Tello, 33, Hazelwood, Mo., was ticketed for driving with no rear registration light, improper display of registration – tinted cover, driving without a valid driver’s license, driving with no insurance and for unlawful display of registration. He was released with a notice to appear in court.
6-25 – Ellexis R. Lucas, 24, Kewanee, was cited for speeding 63 mph in a 55 zone, illegal transportation of adult-use cannabis, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving while her license was suspended. She was released with a notice to appear.
6-26 – Nicholas A. Lane, 33, Kewanee, reported a possible theft from a private rural property. The incident remains under investigation.

Galva Report
Officer dispatched:

6-20 – to a residence west of Galva on Bonham Road for a hitchhiker complaint. Henry County also responded and ultimately gave a subject a ride to Bishop Hill.
6-20 – to the 100 block of NE 2nd Street for a domestic disturbance.
6-22 – to the east edge of town for a reckless driving complaint. Officer located the suspect vehicle and identified the driver. A report was forwarded to the Henry County States Attorney’s Office for consideration.
6-22 – to the 300 block of NE 2nd Street for a domestic disturbance.
6-22 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of N. Center Ave, Thomas Christian, 24, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was released with a required court date.
6-23 – to investigate a large fire in a yard in the 1000 block of NW 5th Ave. It was a controlled burn.
6-23 – to the 600 block of NW 2nd St. for a damage to property complaint.
6-24 – to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a complaint involving a possible attempted burglary.
6-24 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of SE 2nd Ave, Kayla Siudak, 30, McHenry, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a BAC over .08% and driving without lights when required. She was released with a required court date.
6-25 – Officer flagged down for “water bubbling out of the ground after a heavy rain.” It was referred to the Galva Water Department.
6-25 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of Exchange St., Rebecca Muckey, 34, Galva, was arrested on a Stark County warrant for failing to appear on the charge of resisting a police officer. A Stark County deputy ook custody of her.
6-25 – to the 300 block of Front Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a medical call. Stark County Medic was dispatched.
6-26 – to the 400 block of W. Division St. for a report of someone laying on the ground. The subject appeared to be intoxicated, but was able to walk home.
6-26 – to the 900 block of SE 2nd St. in reference to a criminal damage to property complaint.
6-20 – Kristina Rice, 30, Victoria, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 200 block of NW 4th Ave.
6-20 – Chad Colwell, 33, Altona, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1200 block of SE 2nd St.
6-24 – Jacob Keller, 24, Toulon, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of N. Center Ave.
6-24 – Hunter Henschen, 27, Moline, was issued a citation for speeding in 1000 block of N. Center Ave.
6-26 – Michael Pranschke, 29, Kalamazoo, Mich., was issued a citation for speeding in 1000 block of N. Center Ave.
6-26 – Jeremy Huffman, 46, Nekoma, was issued a citation for not having any registration in 300 block of Market St.
6-26 – Rachel Potts, 45, Kildeer, was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of N. Center Ave.
6-26 – Robert Lid, 61, LaGrange Park, was issued a citation for speeding in 1000 block of N. Center Ave.
6-26 – Alicia Oleson, 38, Dixon, was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of N. Center Ave.
6-26 – Blanco Tirado, 38, Kewanee, was issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign in 200 block of SW 2nd Ave.

Peoria County Report
5-19 – A 2016 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Charmin A. Leas of Wyoming killed a deer on Princeville-Jubilee Road near Robins Nest Lane.
, according to the sheriff’s office. Leas was southbound. The vehicle sustained front passenger-side damage.
