Incidents & Accidents
5-4 – A deer-related accident occurred on Route 91 north of intersection 500N. The driver involved was identified as Allen J. Chrostowski, 46, of Peoria. No injuries were reported but the vehicle sustained over $1,500 in estimated damages.
5-9 – Barbara S. Kolditz, Toulon, reported the burglary of a lawn mower, leaf blower and a weed trimmer from a rental storage unit located on the east side of Toulon. The incident remains under investigation by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
5-10 – Harlan L. Grant Jr., 48, Wyoming, was arrested for battery, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer and disorderly conduct. His cash bond was set at $500. Unable to post bond, he remains in custody at the Stark County Jail.
5-10 – Mason D. Johnson, 18, Wyoming, reported that his 1997 Chevy 1500 truck was stolen from a residence located in the 200 block of W. Williams St. in Wyoming. The vehicle was later located at the Wyoming Monument business. The incident remains under investigation by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
5-10 – Two vehicles were reported stolen from the 100 block of Fourth St. in Wyoming. Taken was a 2015 Buick Sedan owned by Shannon Krause and a 2002 GMC pickup truck owned by Gary Krause, of Princeville.
The truck was later located in the area of West Agard and Seventh Street in Wyoming. The Buick Sedan was found parked at the Wyoming Monument business.
A 15-year-old Toulon juvenile was charged with theft of a vehicle, leaving the accident of an accident, failure to report an accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released to a parent with a notice to appear.
Also arrested in conjunction with the vehicle thefts was Andrew J. Eagelston, 18, Wyoming, charged with two counts of theft of a vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and criminal damage to property. His cash bond was set at $2,000. Unable to post bond he remains in custody at the Stark County Jail.
5-11 – Tyler Q. Eberle, 31, Sparland, was issued a notice to appear for aggravated speeding and for speeding more than 35 mph over the speed limit. Eberle was ticketed for speeding 93 mph in a 55 zone.
5-13 – James D. Swanson, 20, Wyanet, was arrested for aggravated battery with a vehicle. He was taken into custody and transported to the Stark County Jail. No bond has been set.
5-14 – Jashae J. Zollicoffer, 23, Peoria, was cited for speeding 88 mph in a 55 zone. He was also found wanted on a pending Peoria County warrant. Zollicoffer was taken into custody and then later posted $150 cash bond in Stark County and $300 cash bond on the pending Peoria County warrant. He was released with court dates to appear.

5-9 – to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave. for a theft and criminal trespassing complaint.
5-9 – Officer was notified there was a crossing arm malfunction at the NE 2nd St. railroad crossing. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
5-10 – to assist Stark County Medic with a medical emergency involving a subject collapsed on the ground on NE 4th Ave.
5-10 – to the 500 block of E. Division St. for a complaint involving an unknown subject knocking on doors. Officer was unable to locate anyone.
5-11 – to the 1100 block of SE 2nd St. for a complaint involving a group of juveniles trespassing on property.
5-11 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SW 2nd St., Maelee Walton, 40, Galesburg, was arrested for driving while license suspended. She was released with a required court date.
5-11 – to the 300 block of NE 8th Ave. for an unoccupied vehicle parked at a stop sign. Officer contacted the owner and learned the car was out of gas. It was removed a short time later.
5-11 – Officer was notified about a telephone harassment complaint that was occurring south of Galva. They were referred to Knox County.
5-11 – to the 500 block of SE 2nd St. to assist a motorist who lost keys.
5-12 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. for a disturbance involving several subjects screaming and yelling. As the result, Jason Pugliano, 46, Galva, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for charges of domestic battery and unlawful restraint. He was taken to Henry County Jail.
5-12 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. to remove an unwanted subject.
5-13 – to the Galva Park District for a complaint involving damage to playground equipment. Park District maintenance was notified for repairs.
5-13 – Officer noticed a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva railroad crossings. BNSF was contacted and the train moved along.
5-13 – to 400 block of SE 7th Ave. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
5-14 – to the 500 block of E. Division St. for a theft complaint. This complaint was unfounded.
5-14 – to assist Stark County Medic with a medical emergency on SE 1st St.
5-14 – to the 500 block of W. Division St. for a reckless-driving complaint. Officer was not able to locate the suspect vehicle.
5-14 – to the 100 block of NW 2nd Ave. for an abandoned bicycle.

5-9 – Michael McCormick, 33, Peoria, was issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle in the 900 block of SE 2nd St.
