Incidents & Accidents
6-26 – A domestic problem was reported from a resident in the 200 block of N. Olive St. in Toulon.
6-26- Stolen property was reported by a Castleton resident. The incident remains under investigation.
6-28 – Caleb M. Breese, 20, Wyoming, was ticketed for driving an uninsured vehicle and for driving on a suspended registration due to mandatory vehicle insurance.
7-1 – William T. Derick of rural Bradford reported the theft of two riding mowers. The incident remains under investigation.
7-4 – David D. DeWolfe Jr., 41, of Pekin, turned himself into the Stark County Sheriff’s Office on a pending Peoria County warrant. He posted $2,000 cash bond and was released with a new court date to appear.
7-5 – Kendra S. Curry, 50, of Christopher, was ticketed for driving on an expired registration, driving with no insurance and driving on an expired driver’s license. She was released with a notice to appear in court.
7-5 – April M. Vogt, 47, Kewanee, was ticketed for driving with no vehicle insurance.
7-5 – Sarah D. Hardy, 45, Walnut, was cited for driving on a suspended registration due to mandatory vehicle insurance and for driving an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a notice to appear. Also ticketed in the same traffic stop was Jack E. Hardy, 46, of Walnut, for illegal possession of adult use cannabis as a passenger in the vehicle.
7-5 – Matthew R. Hollis, 30, LaFayette, was ticketed for operation of a vehicle without insurance. He was issued a court date to appear.
7-6 – Donald L. Barks Jr., of rural Wyoming, reported the theft of two Bluetooth speakers along with several vehicle titles. The incident remains under investigation.
7-6 – Steven R. De Pauw, 34, Buda, was cited for failure to wear a seat belt and for driving without vehicle insurance. He was released with a notice to appear in court.
7-6 – Robert A. Lambert Jr., 41, Kewanee, was ticketed for operation of a vehicle with only one headlamp and for driving without vehicle insurance. He was released with a notice to appear in court.
7-7 – Barbara Jean Keske, 49, Toulon, was ticketed for driving a vehicle with suspended registration. She was issued a notice to appear.
7-7 – A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of 800N and 900E. Drivers were a 16-year-old from Toulon and Brant R. Knowles, 21, of Champaign. The minor was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign.
7-8 – Judith L. Labruno-Gonzalez, 51, Cunningham, Tenn., was arrested for failure to signal when required, operation of an uninsured vehicle and for illegal transportation of adult cannabis. She posted $250 cash bond and was released with a court date.
7-8 – Aaron A. Warren, 41, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while his license was suspended, driving an uninsured vehicle and speeding 86 mph in a 55 zone. He posted $250 bond and was released with a court date.

Galva Report
Officer dispatched:

6-26 – to a residence on SW 6th St. for a suicidal subject. The subject was transported by ambulance for treatment/evaluation.
6-26 – to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave. for a domestic disturbance.
6-27 -Christine Doan, 31, Gladstone, was issued a citation for not having vehicle registration in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St.
6-27 – to the 800 block of W. Division St. to speak to a resident about a property line dispute.
6-28 – to the 400 block of SW 7th St. for a loose-dog complaint. The dog was impounded.
6-28 – Officer was notified by a Henry County deputy that they clocked a motorcycle traveling well over 100 mph approaching Galva from the west. The motorcycle passed through Galva at very unsafe speeds. Officer did not pursue.
6-29 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of Exchange St., Richard Petty, 38, Toulon, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for no insurance and operating of uninsured vehicle. He was released with a court date.
6-29 – to the 400 block of S. Center Ave. for a young child who left its house. The child was returned and DCFS was notified.
6-30 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SW 2nd St., Mekenzie Crummer, 23 Galesburg, was issued citations for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for no insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. Passenger, Nathan Eck, 29, Galesburg, was arrested for possession of cocaine as well as a Warren County warrant for burglary and a Henry County warrant for possession with intent to deliver cannabis and possession of cannabis 100 to 500 grams. He was taken to Henry County jail.
6-30 – to a residence east of town for a juvenile suicide attempt.
7-2 – to assist the ambulance on NW 8th St. after a subject accidentally took too much medication.
7-3 – to the 500 block of SW 4th Ave. for a complaint involving a subject sleeping in complainant’s yard. The subject appeared to be intoxicated and was given a ride to the correct residence.
7-3 – to the 00 block of NE 4th S. to remove an unwanted subject following a verbal domestic disturbance.
7-3 – Derek Johnson, 35, Kewanee, was cited in 00 block of Chester St. for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended, for no insurance and operation of uninsured vehicle. He was released with a court date.
7-4 – to the 00 block of SW 6th St. for a loose-dog complaint. The dog was taken to impound.
7-4 – to the 100 block of NE 7th St. for a complaint of wires in contact with a tree branch. The wires were phone lines. Frontier Communications was contacted.
7-4 – to several areas of town for illegal fireworks complaints.
7-4 – Ryan Foster, 19, Galva, was issued a citation for not having insurance in the 00 block of SW 2nd St.
7-4 – Jacquelynn Jenning, 57, Galesburg, was issued a citation for speeding in 900 block of SW 2nd St.
7-5 – to the 400 block of E. Division St. in reference to two dogs getting loose. Officer found the dogs and returned them home.
7-5 – to assist Henry County and Stark County Medic with a medical emergency on Trolly Road east of town. A subject was found deceased. The coroner was contacted.
7-5 – to four residences in reference to city ordinance violations for placing furniture on terrace. The residents were advised how to dispose of items.
7-6 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a loose-dog complaint. Dog was located and returned to its owner.
7-6 – to the 400 block of S. Center Ave. for an unsupervised child outside near the roadway. DCFS was contacted.
7-7 – to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave. to assist a landlord with confirming a tenant had left after an eviction. The subject was gone.
7-7 – to the 00 block of Morgan Rd. for a two-vehicle crash with damage only. A crash report was completed.
7-8 – to the 800 block of W. Division St. for a loose-dog complaint. Dog returned home.
7-8 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SW 2nd St., Nicole Berry, 40, Galesburg, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine as well as a Warren County warrant for retail theft. She was taken to the Henry Co jail.
7-8 – to various fireworks complaints.
