Stark County
6-24 – A traffic stop netted tickets for two individuals including driver Christopher R. Campen, 44, Peoria, cited for speeding 72 mph in a 55 zone, driving with revoked license and operating an uninsured vehicle.
Passenger Todd Stenger, 41, of Peoria, cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and charged with possession of methamphetamine less than 5 grams and possession of a controlled substance, with intent to deliver. Stenger was also wanted on a Peoria County warrant for possession of dangerous drugs and meth. He was extradited to the Peoria County Jail.
6-27 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred on Route 91 north of Toulon. Driver David G. Cox, 86, of Wyoming reported no injuries but the 1981 Fiat convertible had estimated damages over $1,500.
6-30 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred on 1120E north of 950N. Driver Jacob A. Steward, 19, of Bradford reported no injuries, but estimated damages to the 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 were over $1,500.
6-30 – A single-vehicle accident occurred on Route 78 north of West Jersey. Driver Donovan A. Fluty, 24, Bloomington cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving without a front registration plate and improper lane usage.
7-1 – A possible break-in was reported by Jerry Stapel Jr., of Toulon, to his property at 200 W. Main St. in Toulon. Items were reported missing.
7-2 – A single-vehicle accident occurred on Route 40, where a 2010 Mitsubishi drove off the road into a corn field. The driver was Derek R. Johnson, 36, of Kewanee.
7-3 – Janice A. Neff, Bradford, reported criminal damage to property after an unknown vehicle driver drove into her mailbox and destroyed it.
7-5 – Robert C. Boatman Jr., Toulon, reported his camper was found open and his silver 2006 Yamaha 650 motorcycle was stolen.
7-6 – A traffic stop on Illinois Route 78 in LaFayette netted two arrests. Driver Andrew K. Hulslander, 38, Galva, cited for driving without vehicle insurance and while his license was suspended. He was also wanted on a Peoria County warrant and extradited to Peoria County Jail. Passenger Steven W. Lambert, 45, Kewanee, was charged with possession of adult-use cannabis in a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams.

Officer dispatched:
6-24 – along with the fire department and Stark County Medic to the 1100 block of N. Center Ave. for a high-pressure gas line that had been struck and was leaking. Ameren was contacted for repairs.
6-24 – to the 200 block of SE 3rd Ave. for a traffic complaint involving a juvenile driving a lawn mower.
6-24 – to the 500 block of SW 3rd Ave. for a subject threatening family members with a knife. As the result, Brandon Swank, 28, Galva, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
6-25 – along with the fire department and Stark County Medic, to a residence on SE 8th Ave,for a possible suicide attempt after a gas stove was left on, the thermostat was turned up and the resident was unresponsive. Subject was transported for evaluation/treatment.
6-25 – to the 400 block of NW 1st St. for a utility wire complaint. Two phone lines were pulled down by a vehicle. Frontier was notified.
6-25 – to the 100 block of NW 7th Ave. for a disorderly conduct complaint.
6-25 – to the 300 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a trespassing complaint.
6-28 – to the 100 block of Main St. for a physical domestic disturbance involving threats with a firearm. The suspect had left the scene prior to police arrival. A shotgun was removed.
6-30 – to the 300 block of SW 4th Ave. for a battery complaint.
6-30 – to the Galva Police Department for a medical emergency. A child was transported by ambulance.
6-30 – Officer was dispatched to the intersection of SE 2nd St. and SE 1st Ave. for a two-vehicle accident with air-bag deployment.
7-2 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. for a subject having a mental-health crisis.
7-2 – to the 500 block of SW 4th St. for a neglected-animal complaint.
7-2 – to a residence on SW 4th Street for a welfare check. The resident was deceased. Assistance provided by the Henry County Coroner and Illinois State Police.
7-2 – to a traffic complaint involving three juveniles riding off-highway motorbikes on the roadway in the 600 block of NE 4th St. Subjects were located, spoken to, warned and advised to push the minibikes back home.
7-3 – Brandon Rebout, 41, Galesburg, cited for expired registration in the 1200 block of SE 2nd St.
7-3 – After a traffic stop in the 100 block of SW 2nd Ave., Michael Seale, 40, Kewanee, was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license.
7-4 – to the 800 block of NE 2nd Street for an illegal fireworks complaint. As the result, Kevin Hampton, 47, of Rantoul was issued an administrative warning ticket and his remaining fireworks were confiscated.
7-4 – to the 400 block of SE 2nd St.for an illegal fireworks complaint.
7-4 – to the 300 block of SE 6th St. for illegal fireworks complaint.
7-5 – to a residence in Galva for a subject threatening suicide while livestreaming on social media. Officers could not find the subject and referred it to Kewanee police, who located the subject, who was taken to the hospital for treatment.
7-5 – Officer notified about a stop sign destroyed at the Route 34/Route 17 junction west of town. The Illinois Department of Transportation was notified and a temporary sign was placed there.
7-5 – to the 200 block of NE 8th Ave. for illegal fireworks complaint.
7-6 – to the 100 block of SW 7th St. for a city ordinance violation for long grass and weeds. The resident was given time to correct the issue.
7-7 – to the 600 block of NW 7th St. for a subject having a mental-health crisis.
