Stark County

9-4 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred between 1100E and N. Modena Rd. Driver Brian J. Lequia, 48, of Henry reported no injuries, but the vehicle sustained estimated damages over $1,500.
9-4 – A single-vehicle accident occurred on Modena Road. Driver Courtney R. Pate-Evans, 37, Bloomington, ran her vehicle off the road and into a ditch, according to a police report. Pate-Evans was arrested for driving under the influence-1, and driving under the influence-2, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, possession of adult-use cannabis in a vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol. She was released with a notice to appear.
9-2 – Harassment and or threats were the source of a complaint reported from a rural Wyoming resident.
9-3 – Reina A. Garcia, 34, Kewanee, was cited for speeding 73 mph in a 55 zone.
9-3 – Thomas M. Leverette, Bradford, reported the theft of a back brace from his vehicle.
9-3 – James M. Lempfert, 35, Interlachen, Fla., cited for speeding 83 mph in a 55 zone and possession of adult-use cannabis in a vehicle by a driver. He was issued a court date.
9-3 – Quontarious D. McClinton, 36, Kewanee, ticketed for speeding 73 mph in a 55 zone.
9-4 – Lee J. Chamberlin, 38, Spring Valley, cited for speeding 85 mph in a 55 zone.
9-4 – Joshua N. Hilst, 22, Havanna, ticketed for speeding 81 mph in a 55 zone.

9-4 – A dog bite was reported by a LaFayette resident after her 8-year-old son was bitten by a neighboring resident’s canine while the youngster was riding his bike.
9-6 – Theft from a residence lon Sixth Street in Wyoming was reported to authorities. A wheelbarrow and three electric Gibson guitars and an amp were found missing.

9-2 – to assist an ambulance with a medical emergency in the 1000 block of SE 2nd St.
9-2 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. for a 911 hangup complaint. The subject was suffering from a mental-health crisis.
9-3 – to the 100 block of NW 4th St. for a downed telephone wire. Frontier was contacted for repairs
9-3 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a civil standby to retrieve property.
9-4 – to the 400 block of West Division St. for a burglary complaint.
9-4 – to the intersection of Front and Chester streets for a two-vehicle accident with damage only.
9-4 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. for a complaint involving a subject screaming for help. The subject was suffering from a mental-health crisis.
9-4 – to a residence on SE 1st St. for a suicidal subject who took a handful of pills and then left on foot. The subject was located and taken by ambulance for treatment/evaluation.
9-4 – to the 100 block of NE 9th St. for a solicitor complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone.

9-5 – to the 300 block of NW 4th Ave. for a single-vehicle accident with damage only.
9-5 – to meet with a citizen to turn over their FOID card after they received a suspension letter. The FOID card was surrendered.
9-5 – to a neighbor dispute in the 600 block of NW 5th Ave.
9-5 – to the 800 block of NE 2nd Ave. for a scam complaint.

9-6 – to a residence on SE 7th Ave. for a suicidal subject who took a handful of pills. The subject was taken by ambulance for evaluation/treatment.
9-6 – to the 100 block of NW 4th Ave. for a complaint involving a theft from a motor vehicle.
9-7 – to assist Henry County with a vehicle pursuit that ended up going north and west of Galva. An officer from the Woodhull Police Department ultimately deployed stop sticks and ended the pursuit with several arrests after a short foot pursuit.
9-7 – to the 500 block of SE 2nd St. for a verbal disturbance. The offender was suffering from a mental-health crisis.
9-7 – to assist a motorist on Illinois Route 34 just east of town. The subject had run out of gas. Officer transported took the subject to buy a small can and a small amount of fuel.
9-7 – Officer was notified about a water service leak in the 200 block of NW 2nd Ave. A Galva city employee was contacted to turn the water off.
9-7 – to the 00 block of SE 2nd St. for an illegal burning complaint. The fire was put out.
9-8 – to the 300 block of SE 1st Ave. for a civil property dispute.
9-8 – to the 600 block of Swank St. for a loose-dog complaint. The dog was eventually returned to its owner.
9-8 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. to remove an unwanted subject.
