8-25 – Tickets were issued to Drake M. Johnston, 22, of Wyoming, following a single-vehicle accident discovered by a passing motorist in the 200 block of Monroe St. in Wyoming. Johnston was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to notify authorities of an accident and for leaving the scene of an accident. He was issued a court date.
8-28 – Jerry L. Hufnagel, 67, Buda, cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
9-8 – Victor W. Koelling, 77, Toulon, was arrested for driving under the influence. He was released with a court date.
9-9 – A possible stolen vehicle was reported to authorities by a rural Wyoming resident.
9-15 – Ronald A. Horsley, 41, of rural LaFayette was involved in a deer-related vehicle accident on 1100N west of Vineyard Road in rural Toulon. No injuries were reported but estimated damage to the vehicle were over $1,500.

9-11 – Ryan G. Smith, 40, of Bradford was arrested shortly after 9:45 a.m. and was being held for another law-enforcement agency, according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.

Officer dispatched:
9-9 – to the 500 block of NW 5th Ave. for a wild-animal complaint involving a red fox that was sitting on the front porch. The fox left prior to the officer’s arrival.
9-9 – Officer was notified of a disabled tractor in the 1200 block of NW 3rd Ave. It was removed by a dealership for repairs.
9-9 – to the 600 block of SE 2nd St. for a report involving a subject shooting a BB gun toward a roadway. The subject ran into the residence when an officer approached. Two BB guns were seized.
9-9 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of Market St., Juan Palacio-Garcia, 26, Miami, Fla., was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license, not having valid registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. A passenger, Rolando Brand, 30, Miami, was arrested on a valid warrant from Broward County, Florida, for third degree grand theft. Both subjects were taken to the Henry County Jail.
9-9 – to a residence on NW 7th Ave. for a suicidal subject. The subject was located and transported by ambulance.
9-9 – to the 400 block of SW 3rd Ave. for a harassment complaint after a vehicle repeatedly drove past with loud music, revving the engine. The officer located two juvenile offenders and advised them to cease.
9-10 – to the 900 block of West Division St. to assist Knox County attempt to locate a subject.
9-10 – to the 500 block of West Division St. for a residential burglary complaint.
9-10 – to the east edge of town to watch for a reckless driver who was reportedly heading toward Galva. Officer located the suspect vehicle in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street. The driver said they were fatigued. There were no signs of impairment. Subject called for a ride.
9-10 – to the 200 block of County Highway 5 for a civil standby to retrieve property.
9-11 – to the 900 block of West Division St. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
9-11 – to the 700 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a lost juvenile complaint. Officer called the parent, who came and picked the child up.
9-11 – to the SW 6th Ave railroad crossing for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted.
9-11 – Tamera Henderson, 26, Toulon, cited for speeding in the 800 block of N. Center Ave.
9-11 – Delmer Bermudez, 42, Peoria, was issued a citation for speeding in the 300 block of S. Center Ave.
9-12 – to the 100 block of SE 1st Ave. for two dogs running loose. The dogs were returned to their owner.
9-12 – to the Galva Park District for a criminal damage complaint involving some carving located on the playground equipment.
9-13 – to the SW 6th Ave. train tracks for a crossing-arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted.
9-13 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Center Ave., Sean Carlson, 26, Galesburg, was arrested for driving while license suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and having expired registration. He was taken to the Galva Police Department for processing and released with a court date.
9-13 – to meet with a subject at the Galva Police Department, who brought a loose dog they had captured. The dog was impounded and later released to its owner.
9-14 – to the 00 block of NW 5th St. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
9-14 – to assist Henry County with a traffic stop east of town on Route 34 for a misdemeanor speeding violation.
9-14 – Christopher Donelson, 37, Davenport, cited for speeding in the 800 block of North Center Ave.
9-14 – John Komarek, 70, Boulder, Colo., cited for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St.
9-15 – to a residence on NE 5th St. for a suicidal subject. The subject was located in a nearby town.
9-15 – to the west edge of town to watch for a reckless driver. The vehicle was located, but there was no probable cause for a traffic stop.
9-15 – to the 500 block of SE 2nd St. to assist a motorist with a disabled vehicle.
