Police reports

• FARMINGTON – A Farmington man was accused of stealing alcohol from the same local convenience store three separate times.

Ryan P. Compton, 54, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Jan. 15 as he exited Casey’s, 84 S. Main St., according to a Farmington police report. Video-security footage revealed Compton taking items from the store three times without paying for them. Total value was about $47.

Compton confessed, the police report stated. He received a notice to appear in Fulton County Circuit Court in Lewistown.

• DUNLAP – No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle crash north of Dunlap that involved a Princeville woman.

The accident happened at 3 p.m. Jan. 16 at Illinois Route 91 and Parks School Road, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report. Barbara R. Dallinger was driving a 2020 Subaru Forester north on Route 91 when the vehicle was hit by a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox headed east on Parks School Road.

Beau Shields of Peoria was the other driver. He said he was unfamiliar with the area and believed the intersection was a four-way stop.

Dallinger swerved into a cornfield on the east side of Route 91. Her vehicle was drivable, although it sustained minor damage. Shields’ vehicle was towed after it sustained disabling damage.

• BELLEVUE – A single-vehicle accident west of Bellevue required hospital attention for two Farmington residents. Crystal L. Seymour was driving a southbound 2007 Chevrolet van about 7 a.m. Jan. 16 in the 1600 block of S. Cameron Lane when she swerved to avoid a deer carcass and overcorrected into a west-side ditch, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report.

Seymour complained about pain from her seatbelt. Her passenger, Jeramiah E. Seymour, complained about numb legs. Ambulances transported them to Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

The vehicle, which had a detached front bumper, was towed.

• PEORIA – A Princeville man was arrested for violating three orders of protection, among other crimes.

Scott E. Garretts, 43, was at the Peoria County Courthouse about 9:30 a.m. Jan. 15 when he was taken into custody. According to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report, a woman alerted deputies at the courthouse regarding Garretts, but the nature of the complaint was redacted.

It wasn’t clear what Garretts was doing at the courthouse. He was transported to the Peoria County Jail. Garretts was implicated in another case Dec. 10 in West Peoria that involved unauthorized video recording and nonconsensual dissemination of private images.

• EDWARDS – An Edwards woman might have been bilked of $2,500 in an online scam, according to authorities. A Peoria County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched about 1:30 p.m. Jan. 14 to a residence in the 10100 block of W. Knox St. According to a report, the victim received a tracking number from Pet Parcel Logistics.

Investigation revealed the organization was a scam. The woman made the payments electronically.

• HANNA CITY – A Hanna City man might have been the victim of a credit-card scam perpetrated through the Facebook social-media platform.

The deceptive-practices allegation was reported about 3:15 p.m. Jan. 13, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report. The victim, who resides in the 400 block of N. Runkle Ave., said his Facebook account had been hacked.

• GALVA – A traffic stop in Galva resulted in a Williamsfield man’s arrest on multiple illicit-drugs charges.

Keith A. Bell, 58, was pulled over Jan. 10 in the 200 block of SW First Ave., according to the Galva Police Department. He was transported to the Henry County Jail in Cambridge.

Bell was accused of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing a police officer. A preliminary hearing in Henry County Circuit Court was scheduled for this week.

• TRIVOLI – No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle crash west of Trivoli. Audrey L. Brodt of Hanna City was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu west on Farmington Road shortly after 7:45 a.m. Jan. 10 when the vehicle began to slide on ice as she was attempting a northbound turn at Stone School Road.

Brodt’s vehicle slid into the front of a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck stopped on southbound Stone School Road at the intersection, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report. Larry E. Dawson Jr. of Elmwood was the other driver.

Dawson’s vehicle, which carried one passenger, sustained minor damage and was drivable. So did and was Brodt’s vehicle, which carried two passengers.

• KNOXVILLE – A traffic stop near Knoxville resulted in a Farmington woman being cited for multiple offenses.

Alexis R. Allard, 44, was driving a 2014 Kia Sorento west on Interstate 74 when a Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputy pulled over the vehicle shortly before 9:15 a.m. Jan. 6 near mile marker 53. The vehicle’s registration was suspended.

Per a sheriff’s-office report, Allard said she was unaware of the suspension. She also didn’t have her driver’s license and didn’t know if it was valid. Allard was cited for suspended registration and driving while her license was suspended or revoked. The vehicle was impounded.

• KICKAPOO – A Peoria County Sheriff’s Office deputy evicted a Brimfield man who was issued an order of protection from a Kickapoo-area residence. The incident happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. Jan. 6 in the 11400 block of W. Jubilee Lane, according to a redacted sheriff’s-office report. The deputy first was dispatched to another location to speak with the petitioner.

When the deputy arrived at the residence, the man did not answer the door. The deputy used the petitioner’s key to enter, told the man to leave and that if he returned, he would be violating the order.

• FARMINGTON – Remington R. Isbell, 21, of Farmington was arrested at 8 p.m. Jan. 17 and accused of failure to appear in court, according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.

• ELMWOOD – Amy Jo Wilson, 43, of Elmwood was arrested at 3 a.m. Jan. 13 and accused of failure to appear in court, according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office. Wilson also was being held for another law-enforcement agency.

• GALESBURG – These were among calls to which the Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded between Jan. 5-11: juvenile trouble, Williamsfield; burglar alarm, Williamsfield; suspicious incident, Williamsfield; animal complaint, Yates City.
