Farmington elects 2 ex-teachers to board

There will be two new faces on the Farmington School Board, and a few other newcomers also won election on April 1.
In the vote for the Farmington Board of Education, newcomer Ann Riccioni was top vote-getter, with 566 ballots cast with her name on them.
Incumbent Keith Deppermann was next-highest, with 515 votes, and newcomer Allison Smith won the third spot with 424 votes.
Both Riccioni and Smith have experience teaching in the Farmington school district. They outpaced incumbents Dustin Blunier (350)
(350 votes) and Daniel Gorsuch (328), as well as Farmington Police Chief Chris Darsham (262).
In Princeville Township, write-in candidate Terry Rasmussen received 133 votes to 58 for Kathy Humphreys, who had been serving as appointed supervisor.
Not all winners were new, though, as longtime Salem Township Supervisor Chris Bewley rebuffed a challenge from Ken Vallas, 108-78.
Winners in the Salem Township trustee race were Mark Kiesewetter (140), Jeffrey Johnson (139), Norlyn McCormick (109) and Paul Noe (107), ahead of Dennis Mohn (57).
In the race for four Elmwood Township trustee positions, winning candidates were William Atwood (185 votes), Kenneth Howard (178), Brian Windish (162) and Ronald Gibson (158). Mark Davis had 144 votes.
