• PRINCEVILLE – At least one vehicle was burgled and stolen in a Princeville incident that remains under investigation, apparently.

The incident was reported about 7 a.m. Oct. 12 in the 300 block of S. Walnut Ave., according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report that was redacted almost completely. Two victims were listed, one from Laura and another from Princeville.

Another apparent vehicle burglary and theft was reported about 2½ hours later along Illinois Route 8 east of Oak Hill, according to another redacated sheriff’s-office report. It isn’t clear if the incidents were related.

• EDWARDS – A three-vehicle deer-related accident in Edwards resulted in a motorcyclist being transported to a Peoria hospital.


Harry Price of Normal received treatment at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center for unspecified injuries sustained in the accident. It happened shortly after 4:45 p.m. Oct. 10 on Kickapoo-Edwards Road near Powdermill Road, according to a Peoria County Sherif’s Office report.

Price and Philippe W. Boland of Hudson were riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles when several deer emerged from a ditch to cross the road. The riders hit their brakes and the motorcycles fell to the pavement.

An oncoming Mazda CX-5 sport-utility vehicle crested a hill, swerved to avoid Price and hit his motorcycle, the report stated. Mark J. Padecky of Chicago was the SUV driver. He had four passengers, three males and a female. Neither they, Padecky nor Boland reported injuries.

• FAIRVIEW – After being found passed out in a vehicle in the middle of a roadway near Fairview, a Yates City woman was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol. Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded shortly before 3:30 a.m. Oct. 10 to Illinois Route 97 and Goat Road. There they found Aunna R. Ball, 25, inside a 2013 Chevrolet.

• PRINCEVILLE – A Pekin woman was accused of drunken driving following a single-vehicle accident east of Princeville.

A Peoria County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched shortly before 8:45 p.m. Oct. 9 to the intersection of Illinois routes 90 and 91. There he found Karen M. Parr, 66, who had been behind the wheel of a 2019 Toyota RAV4 sport-utility vehicle, according to a heavily redacted sheriff’s-office report.

Parr was transported to Carle Health Proctor Hospital in Peoria. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

• ELMWOOD – An Elmwood man chased at least two people and attempted to assault them, according to authorities. Austin E. Foster, 31, was arrested shortly after 10:30 p.m. Oct. 8 in the 400 block of E. Main St., a heavily redacted Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report stated. The victims were two Elmwood women, aged 57 and 41. Foster was accused of domestic battery and transported to the Peoria County Jail.

• FARMINGTON – A license-plate check in Farmington resulted in a Bellevue man being accused of two vehicular offenses.

Ryan W. Bradshaw, 31, was driving a 2005 GMC pickup truck when a Farmington police officer stopped it shortly before 4:45 p.m. Oct. 5 near Fort and Oak streets. The officer stopped Bradshaw because his vehicle registration was expired and suspended, according to a report.

Bradshaw’s driver’s license also was suspended, for safety and financial reasons. He received a notice to appear in Fulton County Circuit Court in Lewistown.

• FARMINGTON – A Farmington police officer recognized a driver whose license was suspended, then stopped and cited him.

Jayden E. Dressler, 24, of Farmington, was driving a westbound 2004 Chevrolet sedan shortly before 3:30 p.m. Oct. 5 in the 100 block of E. Fort St. when the eastbound officer passed him. The officer then made a U-turn and followed Dressler to the 100 block of W. Fort St., where he pulled the Chevy into a driveway.
Dressler received a notice to appear in Fulton County Circuit Court in Lewistown.

• FARMINGTON – A Canton woman and a Farmington girl were accused of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and driving around the area all night.

The incident happened between about 11 p.m. Oct. 2 and about 7 a.m. Oct. 3, according to a Farmington police report. Implicated were Piper A. Steele, 18, of Canton and a 15-year-old girl. The vehicle, a 2014 Kia Sorento, belonged to the girl’s sister, a 25-year-old Farmington resident.

Steele was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. The 15-year-old also was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. The owner found the vehicle in Canton.

• FARMINGTON – A chainsaw and its battery and charger were reported stolen from a Farmington residence. Missing from a garage in the 400 block of E. Fulton St. were a Kobalt 24-volt chainsaw worth $159 and a lithium-ion battery and charger worth $49, according to a Farmington police report. The owner notified police shortly after 3 p.m. Oct. 3.

• GALESBURG – These were among calls to which the Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded between Oct. 12-18: alarm, Yates City; suspicious incident, Yates City; domestic dispute, Dahinda; trespass, Dahinda; suspicious vehicle, Dahinda; trespass, Williamsfield; DUI, Williamsfield; drunk, Yates City.

• EDWARDS – Shortly after 5:45 p.m. Oct. 8, James A. Hart of Lewistown was driving a northbound 2017 Chrysler 300 on Kickapoo-Edwards Road near Valley View Road north of Edwards when the vehicle struck a deer that also was hit by a southbound vehicle, a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report stated. Hart reported no injuries. His vehicle was drivable.

• HANNA CITY – A Morton woman required hospital attention after she was pinned between a vehicle and a workbench outside a Hanna City-area business.

Lindsay M. Owsley was delivering a FedEx package to Doubets Plastering, 11423 W. Farmington Rd., about 11 a.m. Oct. 10 when the accident happened, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report. Owsley said she put the delivery vehicle, a 2018 Ram cargo van, in park in front of the business.

As she was walking in front of the vehicle from its driver’s side to its passenger side, it started to roll forward. The workbench was between the vehicle and the building. Someone inside the building saw Owsley stuck under the workbench, but she escaped through a small gap.

Owsley complained about unspecified pain and was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. The workbench was pushed into the building exterior, which sustained about $500 in damage. Logan-Trivoli firefighters also responded.
