Officer dispatched:
3-30 – to the east edge of town for a reckless driving complaint. Officer located the suspect vehicle at a local business. The driver was advised of the complaint and no signs of impairment were detected.
3-30 – to the 400 block of NE 6th Ave. for a disabled tractor trailer blocking both lanes. An oversize wrecker was contacted for removal.
3-30 – to the 800 block of NE 2nd St. for a civil standby to retrieve property.
3-30 – to the 100 block of NE 9th St. for an illegal-burning complaint. Officer found a tree stump burning and spoke to a subject about city ordinances. The subject put the fire out.
3-30 – to the 200 block of NW 5th St. for a complaint about juveniles playing basketball in the roadway.
3-30 – to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave. for a complaint of disorderly conduct/stalking.
3-31 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a subject who appeared to be having a mental-health crisis.
3-31 – to assist Stark County Medic with a medical emergency at a residence on SE 5th St.
3-31 – to assist Henry County with a physical domestic disturbance west of Galva.
3-31 – to the 500 block of SW 3rd St. for a loud-noise complaint.
4-1 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a subject who appeared to be having a mental-health crisis.
4-1 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a loud-noise complaint.
4-1 – to assist a motorist who got a vehicle stuck on a mud road on Industrial Ave. The driver had walked to a Galva Motel. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was notified.
4-2 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a subject who appeared to be having a mental-health crisis.
4-2 – Officer noticed a railroad-crossing arm malfunction at SW 6th Ave. BNSF was contacted.
4-3 – along with the fire department, to a residence on East Division St. for a carbon monoxide alarm.
4-3 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a subject who appeared to be having a mental-health crisis.
4-3 – along with the fire department, to the 400 block of SE 6 th Ave. after a contractor struck a gas line. Several neighbors were evacuated until the gas was shut off.
4-3 – to the 700 block of NW 2nd St. to attempt to locate a wanted subject. As the result, Jevante Powe, 36, Galva, was arrested on two Henry County warrants for failing to appear on charges of driving while license suspended and for residential burglary and two counts of criminal damage to property. These warrants had no bond. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.
4-3 – to the 800 block of NE 2nd St. for a complaint of juveniles knocking on doors and running away.
4-4 – to the 100 block of NW 8 th Ave for a theft complaint.
4-4 – to a residence in the 500 block of NW 7th St. to locate a subject wanted on a warrant. As the result, Angela Ralston, 58, Galva, was arrested on a Stark County warrant for failing to appear on the charge of bad checks. She was given a new court date and released.
4-4 – to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of SW 1st Ave.
4-4 – to the 500 block of SE 2nd St. for a dispute between two carloads of subjects. They were dispersed.
4-5 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a subject who appeared to be having a mental-health crisis.
4-5 – Officer located a disabled vehicle in the 1300 block of SE 2nd St. Officer helped change a tire.
4-5 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a domestic disturbance.
4-5 – Officer assisted the ambulance with a medical emergency on Swank Street.
