Peoria County Report
5-1 – Joshua M. Belville, 34, of Wyoming surrendered shortly before 10 a.m. at the Peoria County Jail regarding a warrant related to 2025 vehicle-related offenses, according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.

Officer dispatched:
5-4 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a citizen suffering from an apparent mental-health crisis.
5-4- to the 500 block of SE Industrial Ave. to speak to a subject about an ongoing property-line dispute.
5-4 – to the 800 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a complaint involving a juvenile driving an electric bicycle recklessly. Officer checked the area, but was not able to locate.
5-4 – to the 600 block of S. Center Ave. for a low-speed vehicle inspection.
5-5 – four times to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a citizen suffering from an apparent mental-health crisis.
5-5 – to a residence on NW 3rd Ave. for a welfare check.
5-5 – to the 300 block of NW 4th Ave. to assist a citizen with a civil standby.
5-5 – to a residence on NW 3rd Ave. for a suicidal subject. The suspect was ultimately transported to an area hospital by a family member.
5-5 – to assist Stark County Medic with a medical emergency on NW 9th St. involving an accidental overdose.
5-5 – to the 700 block of W. Division Str. for a semi truck that was parked in the roadway and was blocking traffic. The driver was instructed to move off the roadway while waiting for a business to open.
5-6 – to the 400 block of NW 2nd Ave for a complaint of a loose and aggressive dogt. Officer checked around but was not able to locate the dog.
5-6 – Officer spoke to a subject by telephone who wanted assistance after being left in Galva by friends.
5-6 – Officer spoke to a resident in the 100 block of NW 8th Ave. about a city ordinance violation for having junk and disabled vehicles on the property. The resident advised they would clean it up.
5-6 – to the 700 block of NW 1st Ave. for a city ordinance violation of having a pile of furniture on the terrace. The resident was advised to remove the items.
5-7 -Officer assisted Stark County Medic with a medical emergency on NW 3rd Ave.
5-7 – to the 600 block of SW 2nd Ave. for a loose-dog complaint. The owner was able to put animals back inside the house.
5-7 – to the 300 block of SW 4th Ave. for a 911 open-line complaint. It was an accidental pocket dial.
5-7 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a citizen suffering from an apparent mental-health crisis.
5-7 – to the 800 block of NW 1st Ave. for a verbal-disturbance complaint.
5-8 – to the 300 block of NW 3rd Ave to check an open door. Officer locked the door, which had been accidentally left open several hours earlier.
5-8 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a citizen suffering from an apparent mental-health crisis.
5-8 – to the 700 block of NE 2nd St. for a loose-dogs complaint. The owner put them back inside the residence.
5-8 – to the 1000 block of SE 2nd St. for a 911 hang-up complaint. Officer checked the area and could not locate anyone needing assistance.
5-9 – to the 100 block of N. Exchange St. for a complaint involving two suspicious subjects attempting to stop traffic passing by. Officer was not able to locate.
5-9 – twice to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a citizen suffering from an apparent mental-health crisis.
5-9 – to the 500 block of NW 10th St. for a loose-dog complaint. A neighbor came outside and retrieved the dog as the officer arrived.
5-9 – to the 300 block of Market St. for a loose-dog complaint. The dog ran off towards the southwest and eluded the officer.
5-9 – to the 00 block of NE 5th St. for a property-line dispute involving a neighbor.
5-9 – to the 400 block of SE 4th St. for a complaint involving criminal trespass to a vehicle.
5-10 – to the 700 block of NE 2nd St. for a complaint involving an ATV driving on the roadway.
5-10 – to the 00 block of SW 8th Ave. for a 911 open-line complaint. It was determined to be a misdial.
5-10 – to the 500 block of SW 3rd St. to assist a citizen suffering from an apparent mental-health crisis.
5-10 – to the 500 block of NE 3rd St. to assist a citizen.
5-10 – to the 900 block of N. Center Ave for a complaint involving an ATV on the roadway.
5-10 – to the 1000 block of SW 2nd St. to assist a motorist who lost a cellphone. The phone was found.

Officer dispatched:
4-27 – to the 100 block of NW 4th Ave. for a utility wire laying across the roadway. It was determined to be a cable wire and was rolled onto the terrace.
4-27 – While patrolling, officer located a loose dog in the roadway on U.S. Route 34. The dog was impounded and was later returned to its owner.
4-27 – to the 300 block of SE 3rd St. for a 911 hang-up complaint. It was determined to be a child playing with a phone.
4-27 – to the 800 block of NE 2nd St. for a complaint involving ATVs driving on the roadway. Officer did not locate them.
4-28 – to the 700 block of NE 2nd St. to deliver a message.
4-28 – to assist Henry County with a civil paper service in the 00 block of SW 4th St.
4-28 – to the 300 block of SW 4th Street for a solicitor complaint. The subject was located and was referred to Galva City Hall to obtain a permit.
4-29 – to the 200 block of SW 3rd St. for a possible violation of an order of protection.
4-29 – to the 700 block of NW 1st Ave. to deliver a message for Henry County.
4-29 – to the 600 block of NW 7th Ave. for a verbal disturbance involving juveniles.
4-29 – to the 600 block of NE 1st Ave. for a civil dispute involving removal of property.
4-29 – to assist the ambulance with a medical emergency just west of town.
4-29 – While patrolling, officer noticed a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva railroad crossings. BNSF was contacted and advised the officer that the train had a mechanical issue. The train eventually moved along after repairs.
4-30 – to the 600 block of SW 2nd Ave. for a barking-dog complaint. The animal owner was warned and advised.
4-30 – to the 800 block of W. Division St. for a property-line dispute.
4-30 – to the 500 block of James B Young Road for a disabled vehicle complaint.
4-30 – to the 400 block of SE 6th St. for a traffic complaint involving a juvenile passing a stopped school bus. The juvenile was located and warned.
4-30 – along with the street department, to the 00 block of SE 5th Ave. for a large tree limb that fell partially onto a porch and house.
4-30 – to the 00 block of SW 2nd St. for a debit card that had been located and turned in.
4-30 – to the 500 block of NE 3rd St. for a verbal disturbance.
5-1 – to the 100 block of SW 5th St. for a complaint of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile returned home as the officer was taking the report.
5-1 – Officer was flagged down in the 100 block of Market St.to assist a citizen.
5-1 – to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave. for a disorderly conduct complaint involving telephone harassment.
5-1 – to meet with a resident at the Galva Police Department to take a complaint involving disorderly conduct.
5-1 – to the 600 block of SE 2nd St. to speak to the owner of an abandoned vehicle located in Annawan.
5-1 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. for a complaint involving a subject who appeared to be suffering from a mental-health crisis.
5-1 – to a residence on NW 5th St. for a welfare check.
5-2 – to the 300 block of Front St. for a fight involving several subjects. This case remains under investigation.
5-2 – to assist the Kewanee Police Department with a welfare check on NW 7th St. Officer did not locate the subject.
5-2 – to the 1000 block of NW 7th Ave. for a civil standby to retrieve property.
5-3 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental-health crisis.
5-3 – to the 400 block of NW 2nd Ave for a loose-dog complaint.
5-3 – to U.S. Route 34 east of town to assist Henry County with a motorist assist.

4-20 – to the 400 block of Swank St. for a complaint involving two loose dogs that were caught in a fence. A neighbor recognized the dogs and returned them to their residence prior to police arrival.
4-20 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. for a property line dispute.
4-20 – to the 00 block of SW 8th Ave. for a 911 open-line complaint.
4-20 – Officer located a subject doing yard work who had accidentally pocket dialed 911.
4-20 – to the 300 block of SW 4th St. for a solicitation complaint. Officer was updated that no permits had been issued recently. As the result, Isaiah Trinkle, 19, Bristol, Tenn., was located and issued an administrative warning ticket for soliciting without a permit.
4-20 – to the 1000 block of North Center Ave for a 911 open-line complaint. Officer could not locate anyone needing assistance.
4-20 – to the 100 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a nuisance-cat complaint.
4-20 – along with the fire department to a vehicle possibly on fire several miles west of town.
4-21 – to meet with a complainant at the Galva Police Department.
4-21 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. to remove an unwanted subject. It was determined the suspect lives at the residence and the complainant would need to follow the eviction process to remove them.
4-21 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. for a criminal damage to property complaint and a verbal disturbance.
4-21 – to the 800 block of W. Division St. for a loose-dog complaint. The owner was able to capture the dog and take it back home.
4-21 – While patrolling, officer saw a subject in the 400 block of SW 4th Ave. who had previously been banned from the property. Officer contacted the property owner, who advised that they gave permission for the subject to gather items there.
4-21 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. for a verbal disturbance between roommates.
4-22 – to a residence on East Division Street to provide lift assistance for the ambulance.
4-22 – to the 00 block of Wallace St. for a harassment complaint.
4-22 – to the 600 block of NE 1st Ave. for a physical disturbance complaint.
4-22 – to the 400 block of NE 2nd Ave for an injured-cat complaint.
4-23 – to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave. for a complaint involving a violation of an order of protection. As the result, John Jaco, 66, Galva, was arrested for violation of an order of protection. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.
4-23 – to Hayes Road to check a suspicious vehicle near the old wooden viaduct west of town. Officer located some juveniles and told them to disperse.
4-23 – to the 200 block of SW 3rd St. for a dog-bite complaint. A delivery driver suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
4-24 – to the 700 block of SE 1st St. for a wild-animal complaint involving foxes running around. Officer did not locate any.
4-24 – to the 600 block of S. Center Ave. for a criminal damage to property complaint involving a broken fence and gate.
4-24 – to the 1100 block of NW 5th Ave. to assist a citizen with a utilities complaint.
4-25 – to the 700 block of NW 1st Ave. for a loose-dog complaint. The owner retrieved the dog.
4-26 – to the 400 block of NW 1st St. for a low-speed vehicle inspection.
4-26 – to the 200 block of NE 2nd St. for a complaint involving juveniles that were out-of-control.

Officer dispatched:
4-13 – Matthew Clark, 34, Gilson, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration and operating an uninsured vehicle.
4-13 – to the 200 block of SW 3rd St. for a physical domestic disturbance. As the result, Timothy Deppert, 21, Pekin, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery, unlawful restraint, and domestic battery. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.
Peoria County Report
4-4 – A Stark County man was accused of domestic battery following an incident at a residence northeast of Princeville. A Peoria County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched shortly after 9:15 p.m. to the 4500 block of W. County Line Rd. regarding active family trouble, according to a heavily redacted report. Matthew J. Braker, 36, of Camp Grove was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
The report listed a male victim and a female witness, both of Speer.
