Stark County Report
5-3-20 – A motorcycle accident was reported by a rural West Jersey resident that occurred on the West Jersey Road, located west of West Jersey. The accident remains under investigation with possible citations pending through the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
5-5-20 – Isaac D. Lindley, 26, Camp Grove, was cited for leaving the scene of an accident. He was released and given a notice to appear.
5-5-20 – A 16-year-old Princeville teen was ticketed for driving with no lights when required.
5-5-20 – David J. Babcock Sills, 35, Peoria, was cited for violation of an order of protection, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, and driving without a valid driver’s license. He was released with a notice to appear on the charges.
5-7-20 – Kristen L. Colvin, 24, Toulon, was arrested for driving while under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content over .08, and illegal lane usage. She posted $100 cash bond and was released.
5-8-20 – Joshua D. Davidson, 39, Kewanee, was arrested for driving on a suspended license and for disobeying a stop sign. He posted $250 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
5-9-20 – Joshua D. Davidson, 39, Kewanee, was cited for driving while his license was suspended, operating an uninsured vehilce, unlawful display of registration, and possession of methamphetamine. He was also issued a notice to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody and transported to the Stark County jail awaiting a court appearance.
5-9-20 – Christian E. Crockett, 26, Kewanee, was arrested on a Stark County warrant for failure to appear for driving without vehicle insurance. He was also cited for not wearing a seat belt. He posted $100 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
5-9-20 – Brian B. Bandeko, 29, Toulon, was issued notices to appear for improper lane usage, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released with a notice to appear.
Galva Report
5-4-20 – Officer was dispatched to the 00 block NE 4th Ave. for a loose and aggressive dog. The owner was contacted by phone and retrieved the dog.
5-4-20 – Officer met with Champaign County investigators to assist with a missing persons case they were working involving a subject who used to live in Galva.
5-4-10 – Officer was flagged down by a motorist who wanted to report a traffic complaint/check welfare for a passenger who fell out of a moving vehicle near Altona. Officer was not able to locate the vehicle in question after it was last seen eastbound on Route 34 toward Galva.
5-4-20 – Officer dispatched to a burning complaint on a non-burning day in the 600 block of NW 7th Street. The fire was put out.
5-5-20 – Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street in reference to a vehicle that had been sold by a private party and still had the previous owner’s plates on it.
5-5-20 – Officer was dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 00 block of NE 2nd Street. The suspect was taken by ambulance for evaluation/treatment.
5-6-20 – Officer spoke to a complainant by telephone in reference to a civil matter involving property being sold without permission.
5-6-20 – Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 2nd Street to assist the Illinois DCFS.
5-7-20 – Officer dispatched to a medical emergency involving a subject not breathing on Commercial Street. Handled by Stark County Medic and the coroner.
5-7-20 – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of NE 4th Street for a dog fight complaint.
5-7-20 – Officer dispatched to an arson complaint in the 300 block of SW 3rd Street.
5-7-20 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 1st Street, Sage Helton, 22, Kewanee, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property. He was unable to post bond and was transported to the Henry County jail.
5-7-20 – Officer dispatched to the Galva Park District for a group of people playing tennis. The park district is open for walking, but is currently closed for sporting activities due to COVID-19.
5-8-20 – Officer dispatched to the north edge of Galva for a reckless driving complaint. The vehicle was located and the driver was issued a citation for lane usage by a Henry County Sheriff’s deputy.
5-9-20 – Officer dispatched to a disturbance complaint in the 600 block of NW 1st Ave.
5-9-20 – Officer dispatched again to the 600 block of NW 1st Ave. for another disturbance/remove unwanted subject.
