Stark County Report
5-16-20 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred on 1600E and 50N. The driver involved was identified as Lisa M. Potter, 56, of Wyoming. No injuries were reported but the vehicle sustained over $1,500 in damages.
5-8-20 – Chandler C. Down, 21, Wyoming, was cited for driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
5-10-20 – Michael J. Sadowski, 26, Galva, was ticketed in conjunction with a vehicle accident reported on the North Modena Road. He was cited for driving under the influence, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver and fleeing the scene of an accident.
5-11-20 – Possible criminal damage to property was reported by a Castleton resident. Upon further investigation the complaint was reported as unfounded.
5-12-20 – Robert I. Carter, 58, Peoria, was ticketed for driving an uninsured motor vehicle. He was issued a notice to appear in court.
5-14-20 – Harlan L. Grant, Jr., 48, Wyoming, was arrested on an outstanding Peoria County warrant. He was also cited for improper lane usage, driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content over .08 or more and illegal transportation of alcohol. Grant was later released on a $100 personal recogniznace bond and issued court dates to appear.
5-15-20 – Joshua R. Petty, 40, Toulon, was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign, and for failure to notify the Illinois Secretary of State on a change of address.
5-15-20 – Jared C. Dougherty, 23, Kewanee, was cited for speeding 75 mph in a 55 zone and for driving on an expired registration.
5-16-20 – Jonathan C. Mannon, 31, Kewanee, was cited for speeding 83 mph in a 55 zone and for driving a vehicle without insurance.

5-11-20 – Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to register them as a violent offender against youth.
5-11-20 – Officer spoke to a resident in the 100 block of Main Street about blowing grass clippings into the roadway, which is a city ordinance violation.
5-12-10 – Officer noticed that the railroad crossing gates were going up and down with no trains present. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
5-12-20 – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of SW 7th Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was located and returned to its owner.
5-12-20 – Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 2nd Street for a child playing outside unattended.
5-13-20 – Officer was dispatched to a burglary that occurred in the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street.
5-13-20 – Officer dispatched to a small fire that had been set on the sidewalk in the 300 block of SW 3rd Street. The fire was out and the offender was gone upon the officer’s arrival.
5-13-20 – Officer was dispatched to check the welfare of several teenageers walking on the railroad tracks just west of Galva. They were warned to stay off of railroad property.
5-14-20 – Officer dispatched to the 800 block of NW 1st Ave. for a utility wire down across the roadway. Mediacom was notified for repairs.
5-14-20 – Officer dispatched to a residence on North Center Ave. to remove an unwanted subject.
5-14-20 – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a complaint involving a group of people who were not “social distancing.”
5-14-20 – Officer spoke to a resident in the 100 block of NW 5th Ave. about blowing grass clippings into the roadway, which is a city ordinance violation.
5-14-20 – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of NE 1st Street for a report of either fireworks or gunshots. Officer checked the area and wasn’t able to locate anyone.
5-15-20 – Officer dispatched to assist Henry County with a physical domestic disturbance on South County road. The male offender was located by Henry County in Kewanee and arrested.
5-16-20 – Officer dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a theft complaint.
5-16-20 – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3rd Street for a reckless driving complaint.
5-17-20 – Officer dispatched to the 1200 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a complaint of young children playing in the drainage ditch.
