8-2 – Paul M. Williams, 62, Toulon, cited for failure to wear a seat belt.
8-4 – Anthony D. Thomas Jr., 28, Kewanee, was arrested by Stark County authorities on a Henry County warrant. He posted $300 cash bond and was released with a new court date to appear.
8-4 – Matthew R. Hollis, 30, LaFayette, was arrested by Stark County authorities on a Henry County warrant. He posted $300 cash bond and was released with a new court date.
8-6 – Shatiqua S. Stone, 28, Peoria, was ticketed for driving with no insurance and for driving on a suspended registration.
8-6 – Roger E. Hochstetler Jr., 42, LaFayette, was arrested for domestic battery. He was taken into custody and transported to Stark County Jail.
8-6 – Parker R. Mitchener, 19, Galesburg, was cited for speeding 77 mph in a 55 zone. Also ticketed in the same traffic stop was a passenger Adrienna M. Pomroy, 26, of Galesburg, charged with possession of adult cannabis and illegal transportation of alcohol. Both were released with notices to appear in court.

Officer dispatched:
8-1 – to Wiley Park for a complaint involving a pocketknife that had been found. The knife was collected and disposed of, due to its poor condition.
8-1 – to a residence in the 900 block of W. Division St. for a city ordinance violation involving accumulating trash. Subject agreed to dispose of it.
8-2 – to the 400 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a civil complaint involving labor that hasn’t been completed. The complainant was referred to a private attorney for guidance.
8-2 – to the Galva Park District for an altercation involving several juveniles. Victim’s guardian declined to prosecute. Suspects were turned over to parents.
8-2 – to check suspicious vehicle parked in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St. Officer spoke to two occupants, talking after a verbal dispute.
8-2 – to assist Henry County on County Highway 5 north of town for a hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle striking a gas line, fence and damaging a field. Driver left the scene but turned themselves in the following morning.
8-3 – to the 300 block of Main St. after a diaper bag was dropped and then taken by an unknown person. Officer located the suspect and the diaper bag was returned to its owner.
8-3 – to 200 block of NW 1st Ave. for attempted scam through Snapchat.
8-4 – to a residence on SW 4th St. for a welfare check on several children. They were fine.
8-5 – to the north edge of Galva to assist Atkinson Police Department with a high-speed chase involving a motorcycle that fled southbound from Atkinson. It ended up going towards Kewanee and then Bureau County. Galva did not have any involvement.
8-5 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SW 2nd St., Joseph Neece, 42, Galva, cited for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a court date.
8-5 – to a residence on NE 2nd St. to check the welfare of a young child who walked away from the house without adult knowledge. DCFS was contacted.
8-5 – to a residence on NW 2nd St. for a suicidal subject who reportedly ingested a large amount of pills and had a knife. Sbject was transported by ambulance for treatment/evaluation.
8-6 – to the 00 block of Wallace St. for an injured bird complaint. The bird was relocated.
8-6 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd St., Jeremy Payne, 43, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended and uninsured vehicle. He was released with a court date.
