Stark County
5-17- A hit-and-run accident was reported along South Peoria Street, in Bradford. A vehicle owned by Patrick A. Goforth, 28, Bradford, was struck by a driver identified as Robert C. Boatman, Jr., 38, also of Bradford. Boatman was arrested for driving while his license was revoked, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle, and failure to report an accident. He posted $250 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
5-19 – Jake L. May, 18, Princeton, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving with a fraudulent driver’s license, disobeying a stop sign and for the violation of driving under the influence for zero tolerance. He was later released and issued a notice to appear in court.
5-19 – Scott A. Petty, 34, Toulon, was arrested for domestic battery. He posted $500 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
5-19 – Rebeca A. Meaker, Toulon, reported being the victim of a possible fraud.
5-22 – Patrick K. Sloan, 40, Galva, was ticketed for leaving the scene of an accident and for failure to report an accident. He was issued a notice to appear in court.

Officer dispatched:

5-16 – to the 500 block of SE Industrial Ave. for a loose-dog complaint. While transporting the dog to impound, the officer was flagged down by the owner of the canine, who was out looking for it. The dog was returned.
5-16 – to the 300 block of SE 5th St. for an ongoing neighbor dispute.
5-16 – to Sentry Estates for a complaint involving an alleged mountain lion in the yard. Officer was unable to locate the alleged big cat.
5-16 – to the 1000 block of N. Center Ave. for an obstruction in the roadway. Upon arrival, a red fox ran away and appeared uninjured.
5-17 – Officer saw a subject walking in the 300 block of N. Center Ave. during the night. The subject began yelling obscenities at the officer as he drove past.
5-17 – to the 500 block of SE 3rd St. for a landlord/tenant dispute.
5-18 – to the 400 block of E. Division St. for a complaint involving a young child walking a dog and appearing unsupervised. A parent was contacted and the child was located.
5-18 – to the 1000 block of SW 2nd St. for a reckless driving complaint. The suspect vehicle was located and stopped. The vehicle had just been purchased in Galesburg and the new owner was unfamiliar with driving it.
5-19 – to the 100 block of NE 4th St. to check on a Henry County probation officer conducting a home visit and who was not answering on the radio. They were fine and having radio issues.
5-19 – to the NE 6th Ave. railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
5-20 – to Route 34 and the west edge of town to watch for a reckless driver who may be heading to Galva. Officer did not locate the vehicle.
5-20 – to the 100 block of Main St. for a complaint of loud music.
5-20 – to a reckless driving complaint on Route 34 near the west edge of town. Officer located the vehicle in question, but did not find probable cause for a traffic stop.
5-20 – to a suspicious car complaint just north of town. Officer was unable to locate.
5-21 – to attempt a traffic stop on Route 34 near the east edge of town on a speeding passenger car leaving Galva. The vehicle refused to stop and accelerated away. Officer was unable to safely keep up and radioed ahead to Kewanee. The vehicle was not located.
5-21 – to a wild animal complaint involving a dead opossum in the 300 block of SE 2nd St. The subject was advised to dispose of it themselves.
5-21 – north of Galva to check for a male subject walking and not acting normally. The subject was given a ride back to his Galva residence.
5-21 – to the 00 block of SW 2nd St. for a debit card that had been located. It was returned to its owner.
5-21 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd St., Augustina Bandera, 30, Galesburg, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a notice to appear in court.
5-21 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of SE 5th Ave., Kayla Garms, 33, Kewanee, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and issued citations for not having a license plate light, and illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver. She was released with a required court date.
5-21 – to remove an unwanted subject from a residence on SE 7th Ave.
5-22 – to the 700 block of NW 1st Ave. for a loud music complaint.
5-22 – to the 100 block of NW 5th St. for a child custody dispute.
5-22 – to a residence on SW 4th Ave. for an intoxicated subject who was “passed out but may become combative.”
5-16 – Crystal Myre, 26, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of N. Center Ave.
5-20 – Nicolae Arsene, 37, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1200 block of SE 2nd St.
5-20 – Alex Shofner, 22, Kewanee, was issued a citation for having a tinted windshield in the 400 block of SE 2nd St.
5-20 – Lacey Nordeen, 23, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of N. Center Ave.
5-20 – Drew MAxwell, 27, Altona, was issued citations for having a defective windshield and operating an uninsured vehicle in the 200 block of SW 6th Ave.
