4-21 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred on 950N, east of the intersection of 1200E. The driver involved was Kenneth D. Curry, 20, of Toulon. No injuries were reported but estimated damages to the vehicle were reported at over $1,500.
5-2 – A single-vehicle accident occurred on Route 91 north of Toulon at 2:56 p.m. The driver involved was Michael C. Dougherty Jr., 27, of Toulon. He was transported by Stark County Ambulance to St. Luke Hospital, in Kewanee. Dougherty was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving a vehicle without insurance, and driving on a suspended license. He was issued a notice to appear in court.
5-2 – An overturned vehicle was reported to authorities at 11:27 p.m. on Route 17 near the Catalpa Grove tavern. The driver was Tyler A. Dorsey, 24, of Toulon. Dorsey and a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the accident refused medical treatment. Dorsey was arrested for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving under the influence and illegal transportation of alcohol. He posted $100 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
4-22 – A possible scam was reported to authorities from a rural Toulon resident on Grain Bin Road. The incident is under investigation.
4-28 – Shawn A. Slightom, 31, Toulon, was issued a Peoria County warrant while incarcerated on pending charges in Stark County. The Peoria County warrant was for failure to appear on the original charge of driving while his license was suspended.
4-29 – Raven J. Buckley, 28, Kewanee, was ticketed for not having a valid driver’s license.

4-26 – to the 600 block of NW 1st Street to deliver a message for the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
4-26 – to meet with an adult at police department in reference to a niece who brought a scooter home that did not belong to them.
4-26 – to the 200 block of NE 3rd Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog returned home.
4-27 – to the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street for a felony theft, burglary complaint. Case is pending.
4-27 – to assist a landlord check an abandoned rental property for contraband.
4-27 – to a verbal domestic dispute in the 100 block of NW 4th Ave. involving a parent and child.
4-27 – to the 200 block of SE 4th Ave. for a loose dog complaint. The owner took control of the dog.
4-27 – to the 500 block of Swank Street for a theft complaint.
4-27 – along with Stark County Medic and the fire department to the 200 block of SW 7th Street for a structure fire. The resident was cooking food and fell asleep.
4-28 – to the 2900 block of Knox Road 2200 East to assist subjects with loose dogs killing livestock.
4-28 – to assist with a semi-truck rollover accident with lane blockage on Route 34 near Black Hawk College. Officer stood by until Henry County took over.
4-29 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd Ave. for a barking dog complaint.
4-29 – to the 300 block of Main Street for a parking complaint. The owner moved the vehicle.
4-29 – to the 200 block of SW 2nd Ave. for a complaint of possible elder abuse. A family member was contacted.
4-29 – to a residence on NW 6th Ave. to check on the welfare of a subject. They were fine.
4-30 – to the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street for an unruly customer refusing to leave.
4-30 – to the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street two more times for an unruly customer. As the result, Michael Thuline, 53, Galva, was arrested for aggravated battery to a police officer, intimidation, assault, criminal trespass to property and two counts of resisting or obstructing a police officer. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.
4-30 – to the 100 block of SW 4th Street for a loose dog complaint. The owner arrived to take the dog.
4-30 – along with the fire department and Stark County Medic to the 900 block of SE 2nd Street for “the smell of fire.” Nothing was found.
5-1 – to the 1200 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a complaint involving juveniles riding skateboards. The officer was not able to locate anyone.
5-1 – to a disabled farm implement in the 600 block of W. Division St. Officer directed traffic while the fire department assisted with clean-up.
5-1 – to the 300 block of NE 2nd Street for an out-of-control juvenile fight complaint.
