10-23 – Breanna L. Kiesner, 33, Tremont, was ticketed for not having a valid registration, driving without a valid driver’s license and driving a vehicle with no insurance. She was issued a notice to appear in court.
10-24 – Michelle L. Henderickson, 54, Kewanee, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, speeding 69 mph in a 55 zone and illegal transportation of cannabis in a vehicle. She was released with a court date to appear.
10-24 – Dean J. Shaw, 35, Kewanee, was arrested for illegal transportation of adult use cannabis in a vehicle. Also arrested in the same traffic stop was Jacqueline N. Alexander, 31, also of Kewanee, charged with possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, illegal transportation of adult use cannabis and driving a vehicle with a loud and defective altered exhaust. The pair were released with court dates to appear.
10-24 – Johnathan W. Becker, 18, Toulon, was issued a notice to appear for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The accident occurred north of Toulon on Vineyard Road and 900N. No injuries were reported.
10-25 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred on 650E and the W. Osceola Rd. The driver was Cody A. Hardy, 30, of Abingdon. No injuries reported, but the vehicle sustained damage estimated over $1,500
10-25 – August H. Block, 30, Neponset, was cited for driving a vehicle with only one headlight, driving with no insurance and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration for non-insurance.
10-25 – Coy C. Miller, 32, Bradford, was cited for driving a vehicle with a suspended registration.
10-25 – Ariel R. Harlan, 24, Wyoming, was ticketed for driving a vehicle with an expired plate and for driving a vehicle with no insurance.

10-27 – A.J. Thomas Jr., 48, Peoria, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content over .08 and driving with no lights when required. He was issued a court date.
10-29 – Megan E. Ehnle, 34, Wyoming, was arrested for driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content over .08 and failure to signal when required. She was later released with a notice to appear.
Peoria County Report
Oct. 17 – A Wyoming man declined medical care following a two-vehicle crash east of Dunlap.
The accident happened about 5:15 a.m. Oct. 17 at Cedar Hills Drive and Cline Road, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report. Steven W. Storey was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion east on Cedar Hills Drive when it collided with a 2022 Jeep Cherokee that was northbound on Cline Road. The other driver was Eva J. Milam of Dunlap.
Milam said she had fog issues with her windshield and didn’t see the stop sign at the intersection. Storey said he saw Milam’s vehicle but thought it was going to stop. Both vehicles sustained front-end damage and were towed. Milam also declined medical attention.
Correction
It was reported last week that Samantha Lang received a citation in Galva for expired registration. This was erroneously reported in the Galva Police report. The driver of the vehicle was Carissa Conley and Samantha Lang was a passenger.

10-23 – Makenna Schwab, 22, Knoxville, was icited for speeding in the 100 block of SE 2nd St.
10-24 – to the 400 block of Swank St. to deliver a message from the USPS Postal Inspector.
10-24 – along with the fire department, just southwest of Galva for a field fire near a combine. It was well off the roadway.
10-24 – Officer was flagged down by a pedestrian in the 700 block of SW 4th St. in reference to an unusual animal they saw last week. The description sounded like a badger.
10-24 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of Front St., Julia Norman, 55, Galva, was cited for improper use of registration. She was released with a court date.
10-24 – to Wiley Park for a complaint involving a physical altercation involving juveniles. Camera footage showed an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old fighting. No charges were filed due to their age and being mutual combatants.
10-25 – along with the fire department, to Route 34 near 1700 East for a transformer fire. It was found that a squirrel had been electrocuted and the fuses had tripped. Ameren was contacted for repairs.
10-25 – While patrolling, an officer located several tree limbs on the roadway in the 800 block of SE 2nd Street that may have fallen from a vehicle. They were removed.
10-25 – to the 600 block of NW 1st Street in reference to a battery complaint.
10-25 – John Moraski, 28, Kewanee, cited for having expired registration in the 200 block of Main Street.
10-26 – to Route 17 south of the cemetery to check on an abandoned bicycle that was lying near a guardrail. The officer located the bike but did not find anyone around the area.
10-26 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Center Ave, Danielle French, 32, Cambridge, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for no insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
10-26 – to Wiley Park pavilion for a vandalism complaint involving profanity carved into the metal picnic tables with a sharp object.
10-27 – to a residence on NE 4th St. for a welfare check on a suicidal subject. They were transported by ambulance for evaluation/treatment.
10-27 – to the area near the Galva Cemetery to check the welfare of a subject walking with no shoes. They appeared to be having a mental health crisis and were transported to a family member’s house.
10-27 – While patrolling, an officer heard a disturbance in the 300 block of Market St. The officer stopped to investigate and became involved in a physical altercation with several people. Bystanders called 911 for assistance. Officers from Henry County, Galva, Kewanee, Stark County and Atkinson responded. As a result, Christopher Hill, 44, Galva, was arrested for aggravated battery to a police officer, aggravated battery-public place, resisting a police officer and domestic battery. Sally Coleman, 43, Galva, was arrested for resisting or obstructing a police officer, aggravated battery to a police officer and disorderly conduct. Both subjects were taken to jail.
10-28 – to the 100 block of S. Center Ave. for a hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle striking a trailer, which then struck a garage door. This is under investigation.
10-28 – to assist Henry County locate a subject who struck a power pole and then returned to a residence near Galva. The subject was located and turned over to Henry County.
10-29 – to assist Henry County with a vehicle pursuit north of Galva. The pursuit was terminated after speeds increased to an unsafe level.
