1-17 – A two-vehicle accident occurred on Route 78 north of 300N. The drivers involved were Donald E. Bantz, 72, of Laura, and John M. Cervantes, 53, Wasco, Calif.. No injuries were reported and no tickets were issued
1-15 – Mychel R. Carder, 44, Toulon, was ticketed for driving without a valid driver’s license.
1-19 – Amie L. Stutler, 34, Castleton, was cited for no vehicle insurance. She was issued a notice to appear.
1-21 – Quinton A. Maes, 28, Toulon, was ticketed for driving an uninsured vehicle..

Officer dispatched:
1-17 – to the 400 block of NW 5th St. to assist a citizen who locked themselves out of the house. A relative had a spare key and brought it over.
1-18 – to the 800 block of NE 1st Ave. for a 911 hang up call. It was determined to be children playing with a phone.
1-18 – to assist Henry County with a vehicle search during a traffic stop just west of town on Route 34.
1-19 – to 300 N. at 2150 East for a single-vehicle rollover accident involving several juveniles. Henry County handled the crash report.
1-20 – Officer was notified about a possible burglary that occurred within the past month in the 200 block of Exchange St.
1-20 – to a business on SE 2nd st. in reference to a fraud complaint involving counterfeit checks.
1-20 – to 400 block of N. Center Ave. for an animal complaint.
1-20 – to a residence on SW 6th Ave. for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
1-20 – to the 200 block of SE 6th St. for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer checked the area and was not able to locate.
1-21 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of Chester St., Shannon Moler, 48, Galva, was arrested for driving under the influence and failure to use a turn signal when required. She was released with a required court date.
1-21 – to the 200 block of SE 4th Ave. for a trespassing complaint. As the result, Leianne Fabry, 61, Galva, was arrested for criminal trespass to property. She was released with a court date.
1-21 – to the west edge of town to watch for a vehicle that had fled eastbound from an Alpha Police Department officer.
1-21 – to a parking complaint in the 200 block of SE 3rd St.
1-21 – As the result of a traffic stop on the 1000 block of SW 2nd St., Dareon Zachary, 21, of Kewanee, was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
1-22 – to assist Kewanee Police Department to check a residence in reference to a gas drive-off.
1-23 – to assist the ambulance with a medical emergency on S. Center Ave.
