10-27 – to speak to a resident in the 300 block of NW 1st Ave. who reported their cat had ran away the previous day. The cat returned home.
10-27 – After a traffic stop in the 800 block of W. Division St., Laura McNeeley, 63, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance.
10-27 – to Galva City Hall to speak to a walk-in complainant about a neighbor dispute. .
10-27 – to the 100 block of NW 7th Ave. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
10-27 – to the 600 block of NE 2nd St. for a verbal domestic disturbance and civil property dispute..
10-27 – to the 400 block of SW 7th St. for a hit-and-run accident involving significant damage.
10-28 – to the 100 block of NE 2nd Street for a civil-property dispute.
10-28 – to assist the Geneseo Police Department deliver a message to in the 200 block of NW 7th Ave.
10-28 – to the 600 block of SE 2nd St. to follow up on the hit-and-run accident that was reported the previous night. As the result, Clair Whiteside III, 29, Galva, was arrested for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, reckless driving and improper lane usage. He was released with a court date.
10-29 – to the 700 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a traffic complaint involving a vehicle driving through the yard. It was a parent giving their children a ride through the yard.
10-29 – to the 300 block of Commercial St. to have an abandoned vehicle towed.
10-29 – to speak to a complainant by telephone in reference to a theft of flowers from the Galva Cemetery.
10-29 – to the Chester St. railroad tracks for an I-phone detected crash. Officer found the phone, which had fallen off the roof of a vehicle.
10-30 – to the 300 block of NW 3rd St. for a crash-detection alert. Officer spoke to the owner of the phone, who was having phone issues. No crash had occurred.
10-30 – to check the welfare of a subject on SE 2nd St. after a subject reportedly made suicidal comments.
10-30 – to check the welfare of a subject on NE 3rd St. after the subject reportedly made possible suicidal comments.
10-30 – to the 400 block of NW 9th St. for a complaint involving forgery and identity theft.
10-30 – to the 400 block of NW 1st Ave. for a complaint involving a group of juveniles causing a disturbance. They were dispersed.
10-31 – to the 00 block of NW 8th Ave. for a possible domestic disturbance . The subjects had left in a vehicle prior to officer’s arrival.
10-31 – to the 200 block of Morgan Road to assist a citizen.
10-31 – to the 500 block of E. Division St. for a loose-dog complaint.
10-31 – to the intersection of James B Young Road and 1950 East for a cellphon crash-detection alert. Officer found a phone in the roadway and returned it to its owner.
10-31 – to meet a resident at the Galva Police Department who had an unknown complaint.
11-1 – to the 200 block of NW 8th Ave. for a trespassing complaint. Officer located the offender and gave him a trespassing warning that he was no longer welcome on the premises.
11-1 – to the 1000 block of SW 2nd St. for a verbal domestic disturbance and child-custody dispute.
11-1 – to the 600 block of NW 1st Ave. for an illegal burning complaint. The resident was burning leaves and was within the ordinance. Complaint unfounded.
11-1 – to the 1300 block of SE 2nd St. for a small field fire. The fire department was able to put the fire out.
