Stark County

2-1 – The Toulon Police Department arrested three individuals for possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance(s). Charged in the incident was Mariah S.N. Best, 26, Houston, Texas, along with Nakeya M. Harper, 29, and Reginald M. Jackson, 24, both of Katy, Texas. The trio was transported to the Bureau County Jail where they were booked.
2-2 – A 16-year-old Bradford teen was ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle. He was issued a court date to appear.
2-3 – Tanya S. Walker, 52, Bradford, was cited for speeding 71 mph in a 55 zone.
2-3 – An abandoned vehicle was towed and impounded from Route 91 south of Wyoming.
2-6 – Eric J. Biesecker, 18, Chillicothe, was cited for speeding 80 mph in a 55 zone.
2-6 – Citations were issued to two individuals following a traffic stop on Route 40 and 1300N. Driver Amilee M. Penaflor, 21, Sterling, and passenger Trisha L. Penaflor, 26, Niceville, were cited for possession of adult use cannabis. Both were issued court dates to appear. Penaflor was also ticketed for speeding 85 mph in a 55 zone. The vehicle was impounded.
2- 6 – Two individuals were cited following a traffic stop on Route 91 and 900N. The driver Cassel O. R. Taylor, 28, Kewanee, was charged with possession of adult use cannabis, speeding 58 mph in a 55 zone, and possession of a controlled substance identified as cocaine. Jesus Meza-Corral, 35, Kewanee, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger and also issued a notice to appear for possession of a controlled substance identified as cocaine.
2- 7 – Jordan H. Alexander, 37, Kewanee, was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license. His vehicle was impounded and he was scheduled for a court date to appear.

2-1 – to the 600 block of NW 7th St. for a complaint involving telephone harassment.
2-1 – to the 600 block of NW 7th St. for a child custody dispute and to remove an unwanted subject.
2-3 – to the 600 block of NE 2nd St. to assist the Henry Co Housing Authority to retrieve property owned by them.
2-3 – to the 100 block of NW 3rd St. for a 911 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
2-3 – to the 500 block of NE 3rd St. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
2-4 – to the north edge of Galva to remove a deer carcass from the roadway.
2-4 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a motorist assist for a subject that had locked their keys in the car. Tarletons was contacted and was able to unlock it.
2-4 – to retrieve a freedom of information act request form.
2-4 – Officer spoke to a subject by telephone about a child custody dispute.
2-4 – to the 00 block of Wallace St. to assist court services with a compliance check.
2-4 – to a residence on SE 2nd St. for a suicidal subject that was making threats of self-harm. Subject was transported by ambulance for evaluation / treatment.
2-4 – to the east edge of town to attempt to locate a semi truck that was losing part of it’s load.
2-5 – While patrolling, officer recognized a subject walking downtown that had a warrant. After confirming the information through LEADS, officer stopped the subject in the 300 block of Market St. As the result, Jason Sherbeyn, 49, Kewanee, was arrested on a LaSalle Co warrant for failing to appear on the charge of retail theft. He was transported to the Henry Co Jail.
2-5 – to Sentry Estates for a welfare check on a resident. The subject was located with no signs of life. The coroner was contacted and responded.
2-5 – to the 1100 block of SE 2nd St. for a 911 open line complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
2-5 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a verbal disturbance and ongoing harassment complaint.
2-5 – along with Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to a medical emergency on SE 3rd St. involving an infant being unresponsive.
2-5 – While patrolling, officer located items obstructing the roadway near the intersection of NW 6th St. and NW 8th Ave. The items were removed.
2-6 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
2-6 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to assist a citizen who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
2-6 – to the 100 block of SW 4th St. for a complaint involving harassing text messages.
2-6 – to a residence on NW 4th Ave. for a welfare check on a child. They were fine.
2-6 – to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave. for a harassment complaint.
2-6 – to the 900 block of SE 2nd St. to attempt to locate someone from Kewanee PD.
2-6 – to the 600 block of SW 4th St. for a 911 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a misdial.

2-6 – to the 200 block of NW 2nd Ave. for a juvenile complaint.
2-6 – to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a loud music complaint.
2-7 – Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 2nd Street for an attempted scam complaint.
2-7 – to the 700 block of NW 1st Ave. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
2-7 – to Trolley Road for a 911 open line complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
2-8 – to the 700 block of NW 1st St. for a 911 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a child playing with a phone.
2-8 – to the 1000 block of NW 7th Ave. for an attempted scam complaint.
2-8 – to the 900 block of SE 2nd St. for a 911 hang up complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
