Incidents & Accidents
Stark County

2-8 – Christian L. Kenogle, 54, of Joliet, was involved in a deer-related vehicle accident on Route 93 and 1300E. No injuries reported but estimated vehicle damage was over $1,500.
2-9 – Nicholette C. Williams, 24, Phoenix, Ariz., cited for speeding 93 mph in a 55 zone and issued a court date to appear.
2-10 – Kevin L. Code, 32, Peoria, was cited for improper lighting and driving while his license was suspended. He was also arrested on three outstanding warrants for failure to appear while driving on a suspended license in Macoupin, Douglas and DeWitt counties. He was booked and released with a notice to appear on the Stark County traffic violations and was transferred to Bureau County Jail to await extradition to DeWitt County.
2-11 – Tracy L. McKim, 53, Yates City, cited for disobeying a no-passing zone.
2-15 – Brock A. Colgan, 45, Bradford, was ticketed for driving on a suspended registration and without insurance. He received a court date.

Peoria County report
2-15 – Joshua T. Humes, 43, of Wyoming was arrested at 3:15 p.m. and accused of possession of less than 15 grams of methamphetamine, according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.

Galva Report
Officer dispatched:

2-10 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. for a subject who appeared to be suffering from a mental-health crisis.
2-10 – to the 700 block of NE 2nd St. in reference to a crossbow bolt found in the yard. It was determined to have come from a neighbor’s property. Officer went to a residence in the 100 block of NE 6th Ave and seized the crossbow used in the incident.
2-11 – to the 1100 block of SE 2nd St. for a 911 hang-up call. Officer determined it was a medical emergency involving a subject with electrical burns. Stark County Medic was dispatched and transported the subject.
2-11 – During a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd St., Gregory Dekle, 39, Kirkwood, cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He received a court date.
2-12 – along with Stark County Medic and the fire department to the 500 block of S. Center Ave. for a vehicle striking a house. Minor injuries were reported. The car appeared to be totaled. Schlaan Murray, 18, Kewanee, was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving too fast for conditions.
2-12 – to the 600 block of NW 7th Ave to assist a citizen. As a result, Brett Harlan, 40, Galva, was arrested on two Knox County warrants for failing to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and criminal trespass to building. Knox County requested that he be released with a new court date.
2-12 – to the 100 block of NW 2nd St. for a cat-bite complaint. The cat owner suffered a bite on her hand.
2-13 – to the 300 block of NW 2nd St. for a hit-and-run accident with minor vehicle damage. Both parties were located.
2-13 – During a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd St., Hunter Brill, 26, Galesburg, cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle and expired registration. He was released with a court date.
2-13 – to the 1000 block of SE 2nd St. to locate a wanted subject. As the result, Michael Thuline, 56, Galva, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failing to appear on the charges of aggravated battery to a police officer, three counts of resisting arrest,and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.
2-13 – Roger Hochstetler, 43, Galva, cited for expired registration and operating an uninsured vehicle.
2-14 – to the 700 block of NW 4th St. to try to assist a subject having a mental-health crisis.
2-15 – to the SW 6th Ave railroad crossing for a crossing-arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted.
2-15 – to the 200 block of NW 2nd Ave. for a domestic disturbance involving an out-of-control juvenile.
2-16 – to the 700 block of W. Division St. for a complaint involving a semi parked with no lights on. The driver was advised to move on.
2-16 – Mika Miller, 38, Kewanee, cited for expired registration in the 100 block of SE 2nd St.
2-16 – Garrett Pistole, 24, Walnut, cited for speeding in the 1000 block of N. Center Ave.
