4-4 – Andrea C. Domingo, 21, of Toulon was involved in a deer-related vehicle accident on Illinois Route 93, approximately one-half mile east of 950 E. No injuries were reported but estimated damage to the vehicle was reported at over $1,500.
4-14 – Grace L. Hamilton, 20, Kewanee, was cited for speeding 73 mph in a 55 zone.
4-15 – A harassment complaint was reported to authorities from a Henry resident.
4-17 – Treyson J. Bowen, 18, of Wyoming, was cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license.
4-18 – A 16-year-old Bradford teen was involved in a deer-related vehicle accident on Illinois Route 93 approximately one-half mile east of 900 E. No injuries were reported but estimated damage to the vehicle was reported at over $1,500.
Galva Report
Officer dispatched:
4-14 – to the north edge of town to watch for a reckless driver after a traffic complaint. Officer located the vehicle but was not able to establish probable cause for a traffic stop.
4-14 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of N. Center Ave., William Barnes, 40, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was later released with a required court date.
4-14 – to assist the Woodhull Police Department attempt to locate a Galva resident who also owns property in also.
4-14 – to the 400 block of SW 5th St. for a domestic disturbance.
4-15 – to the 500 block of NE 5th St. to assist a motorist who had locked keys inside a vehicle. They were referred to Tarleton’s for assistance.
4-15 – to the 100 block of NW 2nd Ave. for a low-speed vehicle inspection. The permit was denied due to the subject not having a valid drivers license, which is a requirement.
4-15 – to the 00 block of SE 4th St. for a suspicious vehicle complaint. It was determined to be a family member.
4-16 – As the result of an interview at the Fulton County Jail, the driver of a vehicle pursuit last week was issued several citations. Billy Hammond, 39, Galva, was arrested for aggravated fleeing and eluding, speeding more than 35 mph over the speed limit, and three separate stop-sign violations. He has pending charges in Fulton and McDonough counties also. He was given copies of his citations and told of his required court date.
4-16 – to several houses to follow up on ordinance letters they had received a few weeks back. Several are making progress in the clean-up efforts.
4-16 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a verbal disturbance. The offender appeared to be suffering a mental-health crisis.
4-16 – to the 100 block of NE 6th Ave. for a solicitor complaint. The subject did not have a permit and was asked to cease his activities.
4-17 – Officer was notified about a vehicle repossession that was taking place in the 100 block of SE 8th Ave.
4-17 – to the 300 block of NW 1st St. for a neighbor dispute.
4-17 – to the 00 block of NE 4th St. for a loose-dog complaint.
4-18 – to the 1000 block of SE 2nd St. for a loose-dog complaint. It was returned to its owner.
4-18 – to the 200 block of SE 5th Ave to recover an abandoned bicycle. It was taken to impound.
4-18 – to the 300 block of NE 8th Ave. for a solicitor complaint. The subject was located and did not have a valid permit.
4-18 – to the 00 block of NW 4th St. for an ongoing scam complaint.
4-18 – to the 00 block of SW 2nd St. to check the welfare of children sitting in the vehicle. A parent returned soon after and was educated about leaving children in a vehicle.
4-18 – to the 700 block of N. Center Ave. for a traffic complaint involving teenagers riding scooters on the roadway. They were located and warned to stay off the road.
4-18 – to assist the Knoxville Police Department locate a stolen vehicle and vehicle parts in the Galva area. All the stolen items were located. Charges are pending through the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
4-18 – to assist the Kewanee Police Department attempt to locate a suicidal subject. The subject was located in Kewanee unresponsive but breathing.
4-19 – to the 00 block of SW 9th Ave. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
4-19 – to the 500 block of NE 3rd St. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
4-19 – While patrolling, officer recognized a wanted subject driving in the 400 block of SE 1st St. As the result, Lucas Gustafson, 39, Galva, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failing to appear on charges of resisting a police officer and domestic battery. This was a no-bond warrant. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.
4-19 – to the women’s restroom at Wiley Park for a sewer back-up complaint. Officer contacted a water department employee. The complaint was unfounded.
4-19 – As a result of a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2nd St., Christi Knapp, 45, Onaska, Wis., was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
4-20 – to the 300 block of SE 3rd St. for a complaint involving harassment through social media.
4-20 – to the 300 block of SW 4th Ave. for a loose-cat complaint. Officer checked the area but was not able to locate the feline.
4-20 – to the 100 block of NE 6th Ave, for a verbal domestic disturbance between two siblings.
4-20 – to deal with many complaints of storm-related damage and debris from a strong thunderstorm that passed through Galva.
