Officer dispatched:

5-18 – to the 300 block of SE 6th St. for a complaint of suspicious activity.
5-19 – to the 500 block of SW 3rd St. for a 911 hang-up complaint. Officer checked the area, but was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
5-19 – Officer met with a resident on Swank St. to discuss a city ordinance violation they had received.
5-19 – to the 100 block of SE 1st Ave. for a loose-dog complaint. The dog was located and returned to its owner.
5-19 – to a residence on NW 3rd Ave. to remove an unwanted subject.
5-20 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. for a complaint involving a property-line dispute.
5-20 – along with the ambulance service, to the Exchange Street railroad crossing for a medical emergency involving an unconscious pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital.
5-20 – to the 100 block of N. Exchange St. for a civil standby to retrieve property.
5-20 – to the 00 block of SW 2nd St. to remove an unruly customer. The subject was removed and also served a written banning notice.
5-20 – to Illinois Route 17 south of town after a motorist struck something in the roadway. A deer was possibly struck by an unknown vehicle and then struck again by this motorist. No injuries were reported.
5-21 – to the 1000 block of SW 2nd St. for a complaint of a loose pit bull. Officer was not able to locate.
5-22 – to the 200 block of SW 2nd Ave. to take possession of counterfeit currency.
5-21 – to the 600 block of NW 1st St. to complete a low-speed vehicle inspection.
5-21 – to the 400 block of NW 1st St. to speak to a resident who had located a stray cat.
5-22 – While patrolling, officer located a motorist who appeared to be lost. Officer spoke to the subject and gave him directions to get back to Interstate 80.
5-22 – to a residence on SW 2nd Ave. to check the welfare of a subject.
5-22 – to the 500 block of SE 2nd St. for a complaint involving an abandoned vehicle.
5-22 – to the 00 block of NW 3rd St. for an activated burglar alarm. It was a false alarm.
5-22 – to the 900 block of W. Division St. for a complaint involving a subject causing a disturbance and hitting concrete with a large hand tool. Marks were located on the concrete, but no actual damage was documented.
5-23 – to the 100 block of NE 7th St. for a complaint involving a resident bitten by a stray cat. A very minor injury was observed.
5-23 – to the 900 block of N. Center Ave. for a water leak. The Galva Water Department was contacted and advised.
5-23 – to the Wiley Park area for a complaint of a loose pit bull. The dog was located and returned home. As the result, Jessica Fletcher, 34, of Galva, was issued administrative warning tickets for allowing a dog to run at large and failure to obtain rabies inoculation.
5-23 – to the 400 block of NE 2nd Ave. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
5-23 – to the 400 block of SW 3rd Ave. for a 911 open-line complaint. It was an accidental dial.
5-24 – While patrolling, officer saw a train coming to a stop and ultimately blocking every Galva crossing. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
5-24 – to the 100 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a possible attempted burglary. Officer checked the area, but did not locate anyone. No entry was made to the residence.
5-24 – to meet with a resident at the Galva Police Department to conduct a low-speed vehicle inspection.
5-24 – While patrolling, officer located a motorist in the 100 block of SE 4th Ave. who was having vehicle problems. The officer was able to assist.
5-24 – to the 700 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a complaint involving either gunshots or fireworks. Officer checked the entire area, but did not locate anything unusual.
5-24 – to the 500 block of NW 10th St. for a low-speed vehicle inspection.
