Officer dispatched:
5-25 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a trespassing complaint.
5-25 – to the 600 block of N. Center Ave. for an animal neglect complaint.
5-25 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a civil standby to retrieve property.
5-25 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a loud noise complaint.
5-26 – to the 400 block of SE 4th St. for a reckless driving complaint. Officer was not able to locate suspect vehicle.
5-27 – to the 900 block of W. Division St. for a disturbance complaint. As a result, Luke Rawlings, 43, Galva, was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Galva Police Department for processing and later released with a required court date.
5-27 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of S. Center Ave., Donald Adams, 49, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
5-27 – to a residence on SW 2nd Ave. for a complaint about a suicidal subject.
5-28 – to the 100 block of SE 1st Ave for a loose-dog complaint. The dog was located and returned to its owner.
5-28 – to a residence on NW 11th St. for a welfare check. The subject was located out of the area and was fine.
5-28 – to the 300 block of NW 4th Ave. for a theft complaint.
5-28 – to the 500 block of James B. Young Road for a 911 open-line complaint. It was determined to be an accidental pocket dial.
5-28 – the 900 block of SE 2nd St. for a 911 open-line complaint. Officer checked the area and was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
5-28 – to the 600 block of N. Center Ave. for a civil complaint involving the purchase of a vehicle.
5-29 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of SW 2nd St., Evan Salz, 22, Kewanee was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
5-29 – to the 500 block of SE 3rd St. for a city ordinance violation involving a pile of furniture sitting on the terrace. The residents were advised to dispose of the items.
5-29 – to the 300 block of NW 2nd St. for a loose-dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate the dog.
5-29 – to the 00 block of S. Center Ave. for a 911 hang-up complaint. It was confirmed to be a misdial.
5-30 – to the 900 block of SE 2nd St. for a wild-animal complaint involving an injured fox. Officer located the fox and followed it further east toward the outskirts of town.
5-30 – to the south edge of town to watch for a reckless driver. Officer did not locate the alleged driver.
5-31 – Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about a city-ordinance violation.
5-31 – to the 800 block of NW 7th Ave. for a wild-animal complaint involving a snake found in the backyard.
5-31 – Officer assisted Henry County with a welfare check south-west of town for a couple walking toward Galva. Officers were not able to locate the couple.
