8-10 – Jason Banwart, 20, Congerville, was cited for speeding 74 mph in a 55 mph zone.
8-12 – Yasmin U. Perez, 31, Kewanee, was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving a vehicle with a loud or missing muffler. Her vehicle was impounded.
8-13 – Drake B. Walker, 25, Galesburg, was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, illegal possession of cannabis by a driver and driving on suspended registration for mandatory insurance. Walker was also found wanted on a Kane County warrant. He remained in custody at the Bureau County Jail awaiting extradition to Kane County.
8-13 – William S. Borg, 53, Kewanee, was cited for driving on an expired driver’s license. He was released with a court date to appear.
8-15 – Dana C. Mannon, 30, San Antonio was ticketed for speeding 89 mph in a 55 mph zone.
8-15 – Frankie L. Ivy, 63, Peoria, was cited for speeding 70 mph in a 45 mph zone.
8-15 – Alex R. Nowlan, 32, Toulon, was arrested for violation on an order of protection, possession of a controlled substance and violation of pre-trial release. Nowlan was transported to the Bureau County Jail. His vehicle was impounded.
8-15 – Jason L. Ramsay, 49, Wyoming, was arrested for driving under the influence and improper lane usage.
8-16 – Marco A. Cadenas Garcia, 26, Peoria, was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license.
8-17 – Jessica L. Davis, 40, Peoria, was cited for speeding 80 mph in a 55 mph zone.
8-17 – Charles J. Chevalier, 45, East Peoria, was issued a notice to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Galva Report
Officer dispatched:
8-11 – to the 00 block of SW 9th Ave. for a disturbance after a neighbor heard yelling. Officer located two adult subjects having a disagreement. They denied needing police service.
8-11 – to a damage to property complaint regarding a vehicle driving without a wheel. Officer located the suspect vehicle in the 100 block of NW 6th Ave. No damage was noted to the roadway.
8-11 – to the 600 block of NW 1st St, to speak with a resident about a city ordinance violation involving the lack of building permits. The subject was referred to city hall.
8-11 – to the 400 block of SW 3rd Ave. for a child custody dispute.
8-12 – to the 600 block of NW 7th Ave. for a domestic disturbance. As a result, Trevar Johnson, 19, Galva, was arrested for domestic battery. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.
8-12 – to the 00 block of NW 4th St. to assist a citizen with a civil matter.
8-12 – Officer was requested by Kewanee Police Department to check a few Galva addresses for a suspect in a domestic battery that occurred there. The subject was located and arrested in Kewanee.
8-12 – to the 300 block of SE 3rd St. for a domestic disturbance.
8-12 – to the 300 block of SE 3rd St. for a civil standby to retrieve property.
8-12 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of NE 1st St., Colyn Glisan, 29, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a court date.
8-12 – to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave. for a loose-dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later returned to its owner.
8-12 – to the 300 block of SE 3rd St. for a harassment complaint.
8-13 – twice to the 300 block of SE 3rd St. for battery complaints.
8-13 – to meet with a subject who has been registered in Galva as a violent offender against youth. The subject notified us that he is moving to Cambridge. He was referred to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office to register there.
8-13 – to the 300 block of SE 3rd St. for a disturbance complaint.
8-15 – to assist Henry County with an unruly student on a school bus east of town on U.S. Route 34. The juvenile was removed and taken home.
8-15 – to a residence on SE 3rd St. after a complaint of young children left home alone. A parent was contacted and forgot that school dismissed early. An adult came over and took custody of the children.
8-15 – to a residence on NW 7th Ave. to attempt to locate a suicidal subject. The subject was not located.
8-15 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a parking complaint.
8-15 – to Wiley Park for a complaint involving juveniles hanging on the new hoops on the basketball court. The officer spoke to the juveniles.
8-16 – to the 00 block of NE 5th St. for a burglary and theft complaint.
8-16 – to the 900 block of SE 2nd St. for a child-custody dispute.
8-16 – to the 400 block of SW 3rd Ave for a theft complaint.
8-16 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 1st Ave., Alexis Purdy, 22, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle.
8-16 – to the 00 block of SW 5th St. for a possible domestic battery complaint. DCFS was contacted.
8-16 – to the south edge of Galva to watch for a reckless driver coming towards Galva. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated. As the result, Nicholas Lane, 36, Kewanee, was issued citations for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle. Henry County assisted and ultimately arrested Nicholas for DUI-alcohol as well.
8-16 – to the 800 block of NE 2nd St. for an out-of-control juvenile complaint.
8-16 – to the west edge of town for a traffic complaint.
8-17 – to the 200 block of NE 1st St. for a complaint of a confused motorist. After investigation, Jason Luedee, 51, Galva, was arrested for DUI-alcohol, DUI with a BAC over .08%. He was taken to the Galva Police Department for processing and later released with a court date.
8-17 – to the 700 block of NW 4th Ave. for a complaint involving an elderly subject who wandered away from home and hadn’t returned. The subject was located at Wiley Park.
8-17 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of N. Center Ave., Michael Gustafson, 56, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was released with a required court date.
8-17 – to the 600 block of N. Center Ave. for a domestic disturbance.
8-17 – to the 100 block of NW 8th Ave. for a domestic disturbance. Officer stood by while a subject gathered some belongings.
