7-29 – Chet D. Gillespie, 18, Toulon, cited for speeding 80 mph in a 55 zone.
7-29 – Erika P. Campos, 42, Hinsdale, cited for speeding 73 mph in a 55 zone.
8-1 – Nathaniel C. Cation, 46, Peoria, cited for speeding 80 mph in a 55 zone.
8-2 – Kole W. Dusek, 23, Chillicothe, cited for driving an uninsured vehicle.
8-2 – Dalton J. Ingels, 28, of Bradford hit a deer while driving on Illinois Route 93 at 1300E. No injuries were reported to the driver or two passengers. Estimated damage to the vehicle was over $1,500.
8-3 – Edwin M. Barker, 54, Chicago, cited for driving without a valid driver’s license and for driving without a vehicle registration light. Barker was also issued a notice to appear for obstructing justice. Barker’s vehicle was towed and impounded.

Officer dispatched:
7-28 – to the 600 block of South Center Ave. for a dead dog in the road. Officer located the owner and returned the dog for burial.
7-28 – While patrolling, officer located a loose dog in the 100 block of NE 1st St. The owner quickly arrived and took custody of the dog.
7-28 – to the 600 block of NE 2nd St. for a fox stuck in a fence.
7-28 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a disorderly conduct complaint.
7-29 – While patrolling, officer located a loaded garbage truck with a broken rear axle in the 500 block of SE 2nd St. A flatbed semi-truck arrived and loaded the truck.
7-29 – to the 600 block of SE 2nd St. for a report of a subject pointing a BB-gun toward the road. Officer was not able to locate the subject.
7-29 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for an aggressive-dog complaint. After reviewing video footage, it was determined the dog was on a leash and did not threaten anyone.
7-29 – to the 100 block of NW 2nd Ave. for a subject threatening residents with a baseball bat. Offender was served a written banning notice after victims declined to prosecute.
7-31 – While patrolling, officer noticed that a train had stopped and was blocking every Galva crossing. After awhile, it moved enough to open the SW 6th Ave. crossing, however the gates were still activated. Officer directed traffic until the train moved east and all crossings were cleared.
7-31 – to the 600 block of N. Center Ave. for illegal burning.
7-31 – to the 100 block of NE 9th St. for a child-custody dispute.
7-31 – to assist Henry County with a traffic stop north of town.
8-1 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of Main St., Hailie Vickers, 22, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance.
8-1 – along with Henry County deputies to a physical altercation in the 300 block of Front St. The victim decided not to prosecute.

8-1 – to the 300 block of NW 2nd Ave. for a complaint of theft and damage to property. It was determined that yard ornaments were damaged and a bicycle was stolen by an intoxicated neighbor. The victim declined to prosecute.
