Stark County
8-23 – Andrew C. Schieferdecker – 29, Elmwood, was cited for speeding 78 mph in a 55 zone, and for driving without vehicle insurance. He was released with a notice to appear.
8-23 – An abandoned vehicle was located on Route 91 a mile south of the Route 91/93 junction. The vehicle was towed to the Sheriff’s impound lot.
8-23 – A 17-year-old Princeville teen was cited for violation of cellphone use in regards to the graduated driver’s license restrictions.
8-24 – Jessi A. Weir, 38, Castleton, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance.
8-27 – Robert Blaine Turnbull, 38, Toulon, was arrested for driving without vehicle insurance, driving on a suspended license and failure to signal when required. Turnbull was released on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond and given a scheduled court date to appear.

Officer dispatched:


8-23 – to the 500 block of NW 1st St. for an incident involving an unknown vehicle running over two garbage cans near the roadway. Officer located the vehicle in question and made arrangements for the driver to pay for new cans.
8-23 – to the 00 block of SW 2nd St. for a gas drive off. Officer did not locate the suspect vehicle.
8-23 – to a residence on NW 3rd Ave. in reference to a used hypodermic needle found in a yard. Officer diposed of the needle and was unable to locate any others in the area.
8-23 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a verbal disturbance involving a neighbor dispute.
8-23 – to the 500 block of SW 5th Ave. to remove an unwanted subject.
8-24 – to the 900 block of SE 2nd St. for a reckless driver complaint. Officer located the vehicle, but didn’t observe violations to justify a stop.
8-24 – to the 00 block of NW 2nd St. to speak to a resident about a lost cat.
8-25 – to the 600 block of Industrial Ave. for a complaint involving cattle out near the roadway. Officer spoke to the animal owner who was putting them back into a pen.
8-25 – to the 500 block of SE 4th St. for a bicycle that was found in a yard. Officer located the rightful owner on SE 7th Ave. and returned it.
8-25 – to assist Knox County with a welfare check in the 2900 block of East 1900 Street.
8-26 – to the 700 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a possible criminal trespass to residence complaint. Officer searched the house but didn’t locate any signs of anyone being there.
8-26 – to a residence on NE 1st St. for a complaint involving an unattended young child wandering around. DCFS was contacted. As the result, Kayla Snider, 31, Stephanie Snider, 32, and Brandon Sparrowgrove, 29, all of Galva, were issued notices to appear for endangering the life or health of a child.
8-26 – to the 400 block of NE 5th St. for a tree that fell across the roadway due to a thunderstorm. The Street Department was notified .
8-26 – Officer located a small child walking in the 00 block of NE 2nd St. As the result, Tasha Wilson, 36, Galva, was issued a notice to appear for endangering the life or health of a child. DCFS was contacted.
8-26 – to the 300 block of SW 5th Ave. for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer checked the area and wasn’t able to locate.
8-26 – to the SE quadrant of town for a traffic complaint involving an ATV or UTV driving recklessly. The suspect vehicle fled town toward the east on Route 34.
8-26 – to speak with several juveniles riding bicycles late at night on N. Center Ave. without lights.
8-26 – to the 100 block of SE 4th Ave. for a wildlife complaint. A phone number was provided for area removal services.
8-27 – to a sinkhole in the roadway in the 00 block of NW 2nd St. The Street Department was contacted to put up a barricade.
8-28 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1200 block of SE 2nd St., Jamie Aguilera-Perez, 19, Monmouth, was issued a civil law citation for possession of adult use cannabis.
8-29 – to assist Henry County in the 200 block of NE 5th St. for a physical domestic dispute. As the result, Michael Sadowski, 27, was arrested for domestic battery and taken to the Henry County Jail.
8-29 – to the 100 block of NW 5th St. for a found kitten complaint.
8-27 – A 16-year-old subject from Monmouth was issued a citation for speeding in the 1300 block of SE 2nd St.
8-27 – A 17-year-old Toulon subject was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of SW 2nd St.
8-29 – Rachel Rawlings, 36, Galva, was issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle in the 100 block of Market St.
8-29 – Robert Fontana, 59, Galva, was issued a citation for having an expired registration in the 200 block of SW 1st Ave.
