9-24 – David S. Lyon, 50, Toulon, was arrested following a traffic stop where he was charged with driving under the influence, two counts of aggravated driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, driving on a revoked driver’s license and improper lane usage. Lyon was released with a notice to appear in court, and his truck was towed and impounded. Additionally, he has been charged with a felony count of aggravated DUI.
9-25 – Nishanth Damera, 24, Hawthorn Woods, was ticketed for speeding 70 mph in a 45 zone.
9-26 – Matthew P. Calleros, 50, Wyoming, was cited for speeding 80 mph in a 55 zone.
9-26 – A site supervisor from the Camp Grove Wind Farm reported the discovery of where an unknown individual had cut a lock and stole a few wire spools. The incident remains under investigation.
9-26 – The Wyoming postmaster reported a mail carrier was bitten by a pit bull. The canine owner was identified and the incident remains under investigation.
9-27 – Donald E. Brock Jr., 59, Galva, was cited for operation of an uninsured vehicle. He was issued a court date to appear.
9-27 – A deer-related vehicle accident occurred on the Modena Road approximately a half mile west of 1100E. The driver was Frank R. Gillan, 23, of Wyoming. No injuries were reported but the 2012 Mazda Hatchback sustained damages estimated at over $1,500.
9-28 – A 66-year-old Wyoming resident reported tshe was bitten by one of three dogs running loose in the 200 block of S. Main St. The incident remains under investigation, and the authorities contacted the owner of the dogs.
9-28 – Rosalinda E. Francisco-Tomas, 22, Birmingham, Ala., was cited for speeding 90 mph in a 55 zone.
9-28 – Margaret J. Martin, 18, Clinton, was ticketed for speeding 78 mph in a 55 zone.

9-22 – Officer located an abandoned bicycle in the 300 block of N.Center Ave.
9-22 – to the 800 block of NW 5th Ave. for a loose-dog complaint. The dog was located and returned to its owner.
9-22 – to the 400 block of SW 4th Ave. for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
9-23 – to the 600 block of SW 2nd Ave. to assist a citizen.
9-23 – to assist the Kewanee Police Department with an interview in the 100 block of NW 8th Ave.
9-23 – to the 400 block of NE 1st St. for a domestic disturbance.
9-24 – to the 600 block of SE 2nd St. for a scam report.
9-24 – to the 100 block of SE 6th St. to assist a motorist.
9-25 – along with the Galva Fire Department to escort the Abilities Plus caravan to Wiley Park for their annual picnic.
9-25 – to the 1200 block of SE 2nd St. for a two-car crash with damage only.
9-25 – to the 600 block of NW 5th St. for a possible violation of an order of protection.
9-25 – to the 00 block of SE 6th St. to assist a citizen.
9-25 – to the 900 block of W. Division St. for a disturbance involving a resident striking the house with a hammer.
9-25 – to the 400 block of SW 4th Ave. for a civil property dispute.
9-26 – to the north edge of town to watch for a reckless driver coming from Germans corners. The vehicle was located parked at a Galva residence.
9-26 – to the 300 block of NW 4th Ave. for a theft complaint.
9-26 – to the 00 block of NE 4th St. for a solicitor complaint. Officer was not able to locate the suspect vehicle.
9-26 – to the 100 block of NE 6th Ave. for a driving complaint.
9-26 – As the result of an investigation into a bicycle that was stolen and destroyed near Wiley Park last week, four Galva juveniles were given juvenile referrals for Henry County Court Services. The juveniles were ages 10, 11, 12 and 14 and were all from Galva. They were given referrals and released to their parents.
9-27 – to the 800 block of NE 3rd Ave. for a loud-music complaint.
9-27 – to the 100 block of NW 8th Ave. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
9-27 – to the 300 block of Front St. for a welfare check. The subject was located in Kewanee.
9-27 – to the 400 block of SW 4th Ave. for a domestic disturbance.
9-27 – to the 300 block of East Division St. for a juvenile disturbance. Officer did not locate the youths allegedly involved.
9-27 – to the 400 block of SW 4th Ave. for a domestic disturbance.
9-28 – to the 500 block of East Division St. for a civil standby to retrieve property.
9-28 – along with the fire department, to the 900 block of SE 6th St. for a small field fire.
9-28 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a verbal dispute among residents.
9-28 – to the 400 block of SW 4th Ave. for a domestic disturbance.
9-28 – to the 400 block of N. Center Ave. for a loose-dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate.
9-28 – to assist the Henry County Sheriff’s Department with a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 34 several miles west of town. There were several minor injuries as a result of the crash.
