• MAPLETON – Public-safety representatives rescued someone who was lost and injured in woods north of Mapleton.

The unidentified male telephoned for help about 3:45 a.m. Jan. 2 in the 9300 block of W. Lake Camelot Drive, according to the Logan-Trivoli Fire Protection District. He had fallen in the woods and injured his leg.
Drones and a computer application helped firefighters and Peoria County Sheriff’s Office deputies locate the victim about 5 a.m. He was carried to the road in a basket, then was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. There was no word about his condition.

• BRIMFIELD – A single-vehicle accident south of Brimfield resulted in injuries to a Hanna City woman’s face and limbs.

About 8:45 a.m. Dec. 29, Kendra I. Dotzert was driving a 2009 Toyota Highlander east on Shissler Road one-quarter mile west of Brimfield Road when she lost control of the vehicle. It veered off the south side of the pavement, struck an embankment and flipped, a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report stated.

Dotzert was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. There was no word about her condition. Her vehicle was towed.

• YATES CITY – A 79-year-old Yates City woman reported no injuries after she backed her vehicle into another that was parked in a driveway.

Beverley K. Boken was behind the wheel of a 2022 Kia Rio shortly after 3 p.m. Dec. 24 when it struck a 2016 Nissan Altima in the 200 block of E. Main St. in Yates City, according to a Knox County Sheriff’s Office report. The Altima was unoccupied.

The rear passenger-side bumper of the Altima was damaged, as was an identical bumper on the Rio. No tows were required.

• KICKAPOO – Shortly before 5 p.m. Dec. 27, Nathan P. Ingersoll of Germantown Hills was driving a 2022 Ford sport-utility vehicle south in the 9500 block of N. Princeville-Jubilee Rd. northwest of Kickapoo when the SUV struck a deer. Ingersoll was uninjured, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report. He was able to drive away the SUV, which sustained moderate damage.

• ELMWOOD – Chief Aaron Bean reported the following Elmwood Police Department activity for December: 14 reports, 12 warnings, 11 traffic stops and three notices to appear.

• WILLIAMSFIELD – Chief James Robertson reported the following Williamsfield Police Department activity for December: three warnings and one speeding citation.

• FARMINGTON – Chief Chris Darsham reported the following Farmington Police Department activity for December: 1,612 business checks, 2,845 building checks, five crashes handled, three property crimes, 18 traffic tickets issued, five ordinance tickets, six crimes against people, eight miscellaneous, 63 traffic stops, four arrests, 22 reports completed, 285 total calls and 14 assists to other police departments.

• YATES CITY – Chief Randy Benson reported the following Yates City Police Department activity for November: one arrest, six citations, 12 reports, six warnings, nine traffic stops and one notice to appear.

• GALESBURG – These were among calls to which the Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded between Dec. 24-30: stray dog, Dahinda; drunk, Yates City.
