Police reports

• MONICA – A Princeville-area man required hospital attention following a side-by-side vehicle accident south of Monica.
Brian R. Cropin was driving a 2008 Polaris side-by-side shortly after 5:15 p.m. Sept. 13 on a property in the 19100 block of N. Daily Rd. when the vehicle slid while emerging from a mud pit and landed on its left side, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report.
Cropin sustained a 4-inch vertical laceration on his forehead and possibly a broken left hand. An ambulance took him to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. His passenger, a female, said she had back pain but refused medical treatment.

• KICKAPOO – A two-vehicle wreck south of Kickapoo resulted in an Elmwood motorcyclist being treated at a Peoria hospital.
David A. Larsen was aboard a northbound 2005 Harley-Davidson shortly before 9:45 a.m. Sept. 13 in the 7500 block of N. Kickapoo-Edwards Rd. when a southbound 2014 Ford Edge crashed into the motorcycle, a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report stated.
The other driver was Jacob M. Parmenter of Peoria. He said he was turning left toward a parking lot on the east side of the road and didn’t see the motorcycle until it was too late. Parmenter wasn’t injured.
Larsen sustained lacerations on his face and left hand. An ambulance transported him to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed. Parmenter was cited for failing to yield right of way.

• KICKAPOO – An Elmwood woman was taken into police custody following an incident at a Kickapoo-area gasoline station.
Whitney E. Baker, 30, was accused of assault in connection with the incident, which happened shortly after 8:45 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Shell station at 7116 N. Kickapoo-Edwards Rd., according to a heavily redacted Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report.
Baker was arrested at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 12 in Elmwood. The other person involved was a 34-year-old woman from Peoria who was a fellow customer. The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services was notified.

• FARMINGTON – A Farmington man was accused of multiple vehicular crimes following a traffic stop. Jeremy S. Coon, 40, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck when a Farmington police officer pulled him over shortly before 7 a.m. Sept. 9 near Wall and Court streets. The vehicle’s license plates were expired, according to a police report.
Post-stop checks indicated Coon’s driver’s license was suspended, something he said he didn’t realize. Coon was also charged with operating an uninsured vehicle. The vehicle was impounded.

• ELMWOOD – A local man and woman were accused of battery in connection with a fight at the Elmwood Fall Festival. Zachary D. Beintema, 40, and Shari R. Beintema, 42, received notices to appear Oct. 15 in Peoria County Circuit Court following the incident, which happened about 5:15 p.m. Sept. 4 in the 200 block of E. Main St.
A Peoria County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to the festival regarding a report about two men fighting. One talked about getting a gun, according to a heavily redacted report. Neither Beintema would speak with the deputy. Zachary Beintema had dried blood on his head and a scraped right elbow.
Witnesses included a 28-year-old Elmwood woman and a 39-year-old Bushnell woman. The Elmwood Police Department also responded.

• FARMINGTON – A traffic stop in Farmington led to the driver being accused of multiple vehicular offenses. Anna R. Emmerich, 32, was driving a 2017 Chevrolet sedan when a Farmington police officer stopped her shortly before 11:30 p.m. Sept. 4 near Fort Street and Elmwood Road. Emmerich’s driver’s license expired in 2019, according to a police report.
Emmerich was cited for the license expiration, as well as for operating an uninsured vehicle. The report listed Emmerich as having a Peoria address but also stated she was homeless and residing in a tent west of Farmington.

• ELMWOOD – A Maquon teenager knocked over a concrete pole next to an Elmwood apartment building while driving a pickup truck that was pulling a trailer.
The accident happened at 3 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 300 block of W. Pleasant View St., according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report. The driver was parked facing west on Butternut Street behind the building and attempted to turn the vehicle but was unable.
Instead, he drove through the apartment-building parking lot to get to Pleasant View Street, but the trailer hit the post. No injuries to the boy and his passenger were reported.

• OAK RUN – Tools were reported missing from a residence under construction near Oak Run.
The alleged theft from the site, in the 1600 block of Knox Road 1350 East, was reported shortly before 10 a.m. Sept. 1, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office report stated. Missing were a DeWalt 12-inch, 15-amp compound miter saw valued at $1,800 and a Bosch transit laser level and tripod valued at $300.
No suspect information was available immediately. The property owner installed trail cameras; three days later, they detected a woman carrying a chainsaw and a man wearing a bandanna that covered his face. Nothing more was reported missing.

• DAHINDA – A McLean County woman drove off a road southeast of Dahinda and crashed into a garage.
Addyson P. Peasley, 22, of Carlock was driving a westbound 2018 Hyundai Sonata on U.S. Route 150 when the accident happened, shortly after 3:15 a.m. Aug. 31 just east of Knox Road 1900 East, according to a Knox County Sheriff’s Office report.
Peasley was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She couldn’t provide a statement. Weather conditions were dry. Blood samples indicated nothing to suggest Peasley was impaired, the report stated. Damage exceeded $1,500. The vehicle was towed.

• PEORIA – Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputies took into custody Cameron B. Snider, 27, of Hanna City shortly after 3:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Peoria County Jail. Snider was wanted in Fulton County for an unspecified offense, according to a redacted sheriff’s-office report.

• LEWISTOWN – Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Rowdy G. Eldridge, 20, on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. The sheriff’s office did not specify the offense, nor when Eldridge was arrested.

• DUNLAP – Shortly after 6:30 a.m. Sept. 5, Harry G. McFall IV of Elmwood was driving a 2022 Ford F-350 pickup truck east in the 13900 block of W. Parks School Road north of Dunlap when the vehicle struck a deer that emerged from the south. A Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report did not specify if McFall was injured. The vehicle sustained a large dent in its front bumper but was drivable.
