• FARMINGTON – A Lacon-area woman was cited for stealing a credit card from an elderly Canton couple and using it to purchase gasoline.

Taylor M. Beach, 28, was the subject of a police investigation regarding an incident on Sept. 13 at Circle K, 1006 E. Fort St. in Farmington. She was a caregiver for the Canton couple, a 95-year-old man and a 92-year-old woman.

According to a Farmington police report, the stolen credit card also was used in Canton, Decatur, Elmwood and Galesburg. Beach was accused of theft of less than $500, using a credit or debit card with intent to defraud and possession of another’s credit or debit card with intent to defraud.

• FARMINGTON – A Farmington woman reported someone smashed the rear windshield of her vehicle. A police officer was summoned about 8:15 a.m. Nov. 20 to a residence in the 400 block of E. Court St. There the officer found a damaged 2017 Ford Fusion in front of the residence.

The victim, a 51-year-old woman, said the damage took place sometime between 10 p.m. Nov. 19 and 7:40 a.m. the following day, when her daughter attempted to drive the vehicle to school. No objects were found that might have been used to smash the windshield.

• FARMINGTON – A traffic stop preceded a Farmington man’s arrest regarding an accusation of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Richard D. Munstedt, 64, was behind the wheel of an Arkansas-plated red vehicle a Farmington police officer stopped about 4:45 p.m. Nov. 19 at Fort and Poplar streets. The officer recognized Munstedt and knew he was wanted in Fulton County on a no-bond warrant, according to a police report.

Munstedt was taken to the Fulton County Jail in Lewistown. He appeared in court the following day and was ordered not to have contact with anyone younger than 18, not to enter the Kewanee city limits and to obtain a mental-health evaluation. Munstedt is to appear in court again Dec. 11.

• HANNA CITY – A vehicle was damaged in an apparent hit-and-run in the parking lot of a Hanna City business. A 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer was parked at Refuel, 12910 W. Farmington Rd., about 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 when another vehicle apparently backed into it, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report.
The Trailblazer’s rear cargo carrier attached to the hitch was bent and the rear of the vehicle was pushed into an adjacent space. The vehicle’s driver wasn’t sure who was responsible. No security video was available.

• KNOXVILLE – A traffic stop near Knoxville revealed a Princeville-area man was wanted in four counties for failure to appear in court regarding criminal accusations.

Jeffery A.R. McBride, 29, was driving a 2003 Ford van a Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped about 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 11 in the 700 block of Mine Rd. The vehicle had no license plates, according to a sheriff’s-office report.

In Knox County, McBride was accused of possessing a stolen vehicle. In Stark County, he was wanted for possession of a controlled substance. McBride also was accused of driving with a revoked license in Whiteside County and aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol in Woodford County.

All cases involving McBride are from this year. Following the traffic stop, McBride was cited for having no valid vehicle registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a revoked license. He was transported to the Knox County Jail in Galesburg.

• KICKAPOO – Buckets almost filled with fluid, decaying meat and bones were found on a property north of Kickapoo. The owner of the property in the 9200 block of N. Old Towerline Rd. contacted the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office about 10:15 a.m. Nov. 10 regarding the suspicious buckets.

Ribs and vertebrae were among the contents. A specialist advised the material was non-human. Bucket contents were disposed of at the scene.

• FARMINGTON – Kaidence C. Widger, 18, of Farmington turned in herself about 9:30 a.m. Nov. 24 regarding a Fulton County warrant for failure to appear in court on an uninsured-motorist charge. She paid $400 in bond and fees and was released. She is to appear Dec. 11 in Fulton County Circuit Court in Lewistown.

• FARMINGTON – Rowdy G. Eldridge, 19, of Elmwood was transported to the Farmington police station around 4 p.m. Nov. 12 regarding a Fulton County warrant for failure to appear in court on a drunken-driving charge. Eldridge got a new court date and was released.

• KICKAPOO – Shortly before 6:30 a.m. Nov. 24, Kyle J. Bird of Princeville was driving a 2008 Dodge Caravan south on Princeville-Jubilee Road about a mile north of U.S. Route 150 when the vehicle struck a deer. Bird didn’t indicate he was injured, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s Office report. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed.

• HANNA CITY – Stacey B. Frye, 50, of Hanna City was arrested shortly before 10:45 a.m. Nov. 20 and accused of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.

• GALESBURG – These were among calls to which the Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded between Nov. 10-16: dispute, Yates City; threats, Galva; suspicious incident, Williamsfield; prowler, Williamsfield; animal in roadway, Williamsfield; animal in roadway, Douglas; domestic dispute with weapon, Dahinda.
