• FARMINGTON – Antwuan L.
Alexander, 37, of Farmington was
charged on Feb. 11 for failure to appear
in court related to driving on a
revoked license, according to a Peoria
County Sheriff report.
• FARMINGTON – Arnold Reed,
70, of Farmington was charged on
Feb 14 for DUI drugs and improper
lane usage.
• FARMINGTON – A Feb. 6 Peoria
County Sheriff report said a 26-
year-old Farmington woman was the
victim of a hit and run after driving
behind a red GMC truck along
Maxwell Road to the Farmington
exit. The woman said the driver of
the truck kept changing speeds and
lanes to prevent her from passing.
When she merged into the right lane,
the truck ran her off the road, causing
her car to overturn. She said she was
unable to get license plate information.
She was taken to Methodist
Hospital for evaluation. There are no
suspects.
• PRINCEVILLE – A Princeville
woman, concerned someone had
been trespassing in the supposedly
empty upstairs apartment of her
home when utility bills spiked, called
police on Feb. 4, according to a Peoria
County Sheriff’s report. She was
advised to lock the door to the apartment,
shut off the power and call if
someone tried to regain access.
• EDWARDS – A homeowner
along North Taylor Road claimed the
second of three white trucks hauling
farm equipment and traveling together
struck his mailbox on Feb. 11,
according to a Sheriff’s report. None
of the trucks’ drivers, including the
third who would have witnessed the
incident, stopped. Damage was estimate
at $550. There are no suspects.
• HANNA CITY – Trivoli Fire Department
responded to a rollover accident
on Feb. 8 in the 16400 block
of W. Farmington Rd. in Hanna City,
according to a Peoria County Sheriff
report. The driver claimed he heard
“a pop from the vehicle,” and then
doesn’t remember what happened
after that. The accident caused a
power pole to split in half, with the
top half hanging by wires. The report
said there were “three wires hanging
very low to the ground directly in
front of the van.” The driver, complaining
of pain, was transported to
OSF. Ameren arrived to repair the
wires so the van could be towed.
Accidents
• The driver of a Bees & Blooms
van struck a deer on Feb. 14 while
making a flower delivery on Oak
Hill Cemetery Rd. in Oak Hill.
• An unknown caller informed police
that he struck a deer in the 14000
block of Route 150 in Brimfield on
Feb. 9. Police dispatched the deer.
