Hanna City tavern
damaged by fire


• PRINCEVILLE – Logan-Trivoli Firefighters responded to a report of a building on fire at the ReFuel Bar at 12910 W. Farmington Rd. in Hanna City at 3:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21.

Peoria County Sheriff’s deputies on routine patrol spotted the fire and reported to dispatch that fire and smoke were coming from the roof area of the east side of the building.

Logan-Trivoli firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the east side of the building. David Tuttle, Logan Trivoli Fire Chief, said firefighters had the fire knocked down in 20 minutes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation; there was a lightning storm that went through the area around midnight. The Office of the State Marshall is investigating the fire. Damage appears to be approximately $45,000.

There were no injuries. Firefighters were on the scene for three hours.
Logan-Trivoli firefighters were assisted by Bartonville, Elmwood, Brimfield, Timber-Hollis, Advanced Medical Transport and the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.

Police reports
• PRINCEVILLE – Collin M. Hause, 23, of Princeville was charged on Sept. 18 with domestic battery, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s report.

• ELMWOOD – Jesse J. Eldridge, 37, of Elmwood was charged on Sept. 17 with retail theft under $300, failure to appear in court, aggravated fleeing and eluding, uninsured motor vehicle/bodily harm, and driving on a suspended license, according to a Peoria County Sheriff’s report.
