Stark County
9-10 – Wyoming Police Department issued a notice to appear to Richard F. Carroll II, of Wyoming, for the violation that no person may acquire or possess any firearm without having possession of a firearm owner’s identification card previously issued in their name by the Illinois State Police.
9-13 – Justin J. Kentner, 33, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while his license was suspended, driving with no insurance, and driving on an expired registration. He posted $250 cash bond and was released with a court date to appear.
9-13 – Wendy J. Schwigen, 46, Kewanee, Antonio S. Martinez, 34, of Chandler and Edwin L. Moats, 42, Bradford, were issued notices to appear for illegal burning of household items after an incident in Toulon.
9-14 – Jay E. Knobloch, of Edelstein, reported criminal damage to property after finding evidence of where an unidentified vehicle had driven through his cornfield. The incident remains under investigation.
9-18 – Luis T. Gonzalez, 37, Sheffield, was arrested for speeding 71 mph in a 55 zone, failure to wear a seatbelt, driving without a valid driver’s license and driving without vehicle insurance. He posted $250 cash bond and was released with a notice to appear.
9-18 – Myron A. Eddie, 41, Kewanee, was arrested for obstruction of justice. He was released with a notice to appear.

Officer dispatched:

9-13 – to speak with a subject by telephone about the Galva burning ordinance and which days he could burn on.
9-13 – to the 500 block of NE 3rd St. for a suspicious person complaint. Officer checked the area and was not able to locate anyone in the area.
9-13 – to Route 34 several miles east of town for a motorist assist.
9-14 – to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave. for a verbal dispute involving a juvenile.
9-14 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Center Ave., Jeffery McBride, 26, Portage, Ind., was arrested for felony driving while license revoked,operating an uninsured vehicle, no front license plate, failure to change registration upon new ownership, and obstruction of identification. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.
9-15 – to the 500 block of SE 2nd St. for a disturbance complaint. As the result, Barry Cox, 56, Kewanee, was arrested for battery. He was given a notice to appear and released.
9-15 – to Sentry Estates for a welfare check. It turned out to be a domestic dispute.
9-15 – along with Stark County Medic to a medical emergency on SW 1st Ave. The subject was found deceased. The Henry County coroner was contacted.
9-15 – to the 400 block of NW 4th St. for a driving complaint involving a juvenile on an ATV. Officer was not able to locate.
9-15 – to the 00 block of NW 5th St. for a complaint involving a subject who had moved out and left two cats inside a residence. The subject was contacted and came to retrieve the cats.
9-16 – to the 600 block of NW 8th St. for a verbal domestic dispute.
9-16 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. for a parking complaint.
9-16 – to the 100 block of Front St. for a verbal domestic disturbance.
9-17 – to meet with a subject who was requesting a civil standby while they retrieved a vehicle.
9-17 – to assist with a two-vehicle accident several miles north of town. Ultimately, the Illinois State Police handled the wreck.
9-17 – As the result of a traffic stop just west of town, Brendin Thomas-Duchesne, 26, Peoria, was arrested for improper use of registration, speeding, and operating an uninsured vehicle. he was released with a required court date.
9-18 – to the 300 block of Main St. for a parking complaint.
9-18 – to the 300 block of SE 3rd Ave. for a domestic verbal dispute.
9-18 – to Route 34 just east of town for a disabled vehicle complaint. The vehicle was gone prior to the officer’s arrival.
9-19 – Officer located two juveniles parked at the Galva Park District after hours. Subjects were sent on their way.
9-19 – to the 300 block of Front St. to remove an unwanted customer.
9-19 – to the 100 block of SW 4th St. for a child custody dispute.
9-19 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 5th St., a passenger, Daphne King, 20, Galva, was arrested for unlawful use of weapons. She was released with a required court date.
9-14 – Thomas Jones, 70, Galva, was issued a citation for speeding in the 600 block of South Center Ave,
9-19 – Gavin Goodpasture, 19, Good Hope, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1300 block of SE 2nd St.
