Princeville to set water deposit
By BILL KNIGHT For The Weekly Post PRINCEVILLE – The Village Board last week (June 16) discussed establishing a new deposit fee for new water customers, and by consensus seemed to favor $100. Trustees asked Village lawyers to draft an ordinance to be considered at the board’s next meeting, scheduled for Monday, July 6. Previously, Princeville had no required deposit, Village President Jeff Troutman said. McNamara thanks Brimfield school board
By JOHN A. BALLENTINE For The Weekly Post BRIMFIELD – The Brimfield School Board held a routine monthly meeting June 17 to approve numerous agenda items. Interim District Superintendent Dennis McNamara additionally thanked the board for serving the school as superintendent for the past year. McNamara will return to retirement status and current Principal Tony Shinall will take over as Brimfield’s new superintendent on July 1 for the new school year in 2020- 21. Renovated apartments earn raves
By JEFF LAMPE Weekly Post Staff Writer ELMWOOD – New life has been breathed into an iconic Elmwood building, whose coming out party was last weekend. During an open house last Friday and Saturday at Elm Haven Place, located at the corner of Rose and East Main streets across from Central Park, more than 600 visitors toured the renovated building, which previously housed a hotel, hospital, nursing home, apartments and even a lawyer’s office.
