Stark County

2-25 – Jason L. Delva, 48, Westville, was cited for driving on a suspended registration due to mandatory vehicle insurance. Two passengers were also arrested during the same traffic stop: Leslie F. Prozzo, 38, Rock Island, charged with illegal possession of adult-use cannabis and possession of meth with less than five grams; and Joshua G. Randle, 41, Peoria, for possession of meth with less than five grams. All three individuals were released with notices to appear in court.
2-25 – An abandoned vehicle was reported parked along Illinois Route 78. Stark County authorities located the abandoned vehicle described as a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck and had it towed to the impound lot.
2-25 – A neighbor complaint from a Toulon resident in the 100 block of N. Henderson St. was investigated with both parties involved spoken to by authorities.
2-26 – Doroteo Duarte, 33, Kewanee, was ticketed for speeding 76 mph in a 55 zone.
2-28 – Caitlin R. Ybarra, 37, Creve Coeur, was ticketed for speeding 64 mph in a 55 zone and for possession of adult-use cannabis by a driver. Also cited in the same traffic stop was Darius C. Benne, 39, of Creve Coeur, for illegal possession of adult-use cannabis. Both were issued notices to appear in court.
3-1 – Contina M. Hernblom, 51, Kewanee, was ticketed for speeding 69 mph in a 55 zone and for driving on suspended registration for a lack of mandatory vehicle insurance.
3-1 – Emily N. Jessen, 21, Decatur, was ticketed for speeding 69 mph in a 55 zone.
3-1 – A possible vehicle theft was reported to the Stark County Sheriff’s Department. The vehicle was later located and recovered from an address in Mineral.
3-2 – Conner J. Downing, 18, Washington, was ticketed for speeding 87 mph in a 45 zone. He was released with a court date to appear.

Galva Report
Officer dispatched:

2-24 – to speak with a subject by telephone in reference to a lost or missing cellphone. It has not been located or turned in yet.
2-24 – to the 200 block of Morgan Road for a two-vehicle accident with only damage.
2-25 – to assist Henry County with a disabled vehicle east of town on U.S. Route 34. The driver was located in Galva.
2-26 – to the 100 block of Exchange St. to assist a citizen who left keys in a door. The keys were retrieved and given back to the owner later.
2-26 – to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave. for a verbal domestic dispute between a father and son.
2-26 – to the 1000 block of N. Center Ave. for a road-rage incident that ended there. The victim did not want to press charges.
2-27 – to the 900 block of W. Division St. for a neighborhood complaint involving a subject breaking their own windows. The subject was suffering from a mental-health crisis.
2-28 – While patrolling, officer noticed a large tree branch had fallen into the road in the 300 block of N. Center Ave. It was removed.
2-28 – along with the Galva Fire Department to the 400 block of NW 5th St. for an out-of-control burn in the yard. A neighbor’s trampoline was destroyed. As a result, Brenda Johnson, 52, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket for burning on a non-burn day.
2-28 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St., Justin Hare, 35, Altona, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. He was released with a court date.
2-28 – While patrolling, an officer noticed a crossing-arm malfunction at the SW 6th Ave, railroad crossing. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
2-28 – Kevin McCutchan, 29, Aledo, cited for having expired registration in the 800 block of SE 2nd St.
3-1 – to the 300 block of NW 1st St. to assist a motorist. The subject locked their keys inside the vehicle. Tarleton’s Service Inc. was contacted to assist the motorist.
3-1 – along with the ambulance service to a medical emergency in the 1000 block of SE 2nd St.
3-1 – to a residence on NW 1st Ave. for a welfare check. The complainant saw a social media post about the residents being deceased. The officer made contact and the subjects were alive and well.
3-1 – Riley Hansen, 22, Neponset, cited for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St.
3-2 – to assist Henry County with a traffic stop in the 900 block of SW 2nd St. involving a wanted subject. The subject was able to post bond and was released.
