ICAC selects all-conference basketball team

Brimfield senior Luke Groeper and Elmwood junior Andrew Marincic were voted to the six-player ICAC All-Conference boys basketball team.
Also picked for the first team were junior MacArthur Briggs of Delavan, senior Jacob Schleich of North Fulton and Peoria Christian senior Daniel Duncan and junior Wes Hunt.
Seniors Adam Centers and Luke Hoffmann of Elmwood were both second-team selections, as was sophomore Graham Wight of ROWVA-Williamsfield. Other second-teamers were Delavan seniors Sam DeJesus and Gavin Kipfer, senior Tyler Hutchinson of Illinois Bluffs and senior Michael Whalen of Peoria Heights.
Juniors Max Walters of Brimfield and Carson Malek of R-W were honorable mention picks, as was senior Ronnie Foster of Peoria Heights and junior Colton Teel of IB.
Brimfield No. 3 – While we’ll never know how far the unbeaten Brimfield girls basketball team could have advanced this basketball season, the Lady Indians did wind up ranked No. 3 in Class 1A. The only teams ahead of Brimfield in the Associated Press poll were No. 1 Amboy and No. 2 Lanark Eastland.
