TOULON – The Stark County School District will hold an Open House and tour of the partially constructed new high school building Saturday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This will be the second Open House since construction commenced.

According to School District Superintendent Brett Elliott, “This will include tours of the current high school and junior high along with a sneak-peak at our new high school and junior high renovations.”

Construction of the new high school building is approximately 55 percent complete. The concrete floors of the high school are being poured to date. The tour of the new building will include the inside of the building “as much as allowed for safety” Elliott said.

People attending the open house may park on South Franklin Street in front of the current high school and on Prairie Street adjacent to the Junior High building. Enter through the main entrance of the current high school.

“An open auction will be held shortly after the last day of school for anyone to make donations for specific items as long as they remove it themselves,” Elliott said. “We will also have additional tours in the summer and of course, when the new building is complete.”
