Stark County

3-23 – Ashley J. Williams, 35, Kewanee, was cited for speeding 75 mph in a 55 zone and for driving with no insurance.
3-23 – Wesley F. Foutz, 47, Dunlap, was cited for failure to signal when required, speeding 88 mph in a 55 zone, and for improper lane usage.
3-29 – Patria J. Mann-Edwards, Alton, was cited for driving a vehicle with a revoked registration and for speeding 73 mph in a 55 zone. She was released with a notice to appear.
3-31 – Ryan D. Burt, 41, Bradford, was arrested for unlawful possession of meth and unlawful delivery of meth. His cash bond was set at $1,000. He was unable to post bond and remains in custody at the Stark County Jail.
4-2 – Jerrill D. Halman, 46, Decatur, was arrested for driving on a suspended and/or revoked licensse. He posted $250 cash bond and was released with a notice to appear in court.
4-2 – Lonny E. Dennison, 53, Toulon, was cited for illegal entry to a roadway. He was issued a notice to appear.
4-2 – Mathew Senders, 27, Huntsville, Ark., was cited for illegal transportation of adult use cannabis and for speeding 79 mph in a 55 zone. He was released with a notice to appear.

Officer dispatched:

3-28 – to Sentry Estates for a damage to property complaint.
3-28 – As the result of a parking complaint in the 400 block of W. Division St., an elderly female was located who had been entered as a missing and endangered person by the Elgin Police Department. She was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and family members were notified she had been located.
3-28 – to the 300 block of NE 2nd St. for an out-of-control juvenile complaint. Subject was taken by ambulance.
3-29 – to the Exchange Street railroad crossing after a report that the crossing arm was getting caught on something and was unable to lower. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
3-30 – to the area around Wiley Park in reference to two vehicles that were driving fast in the area. The vehicles were located and the drivers were warned about driving cautiously.
3-30 – to the 00 block of SW 4th Ave. for a disturbance involving an employee who was terminated and had returned.
3-31 – to the 300 block of NW 1st St. for a verbal domestic disturbance. Officer stood by while a female gathered some property and left.
3-31 – to the 300 block of Front St. for a disturbance and trespassing issue. Officer had complainant sign a trespassing notice and it was served by the officer to a subject in the 300 block of NW 1st St.
3-31 – to the 300 block of Front St. to remove an unwanted subject who had previously been banned. As a result, Logan Zaugg, 21, Galva, was arrested for criminal trespass to property and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.
4-1 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 700 block of SE 2nd St., Betty Elliott, 81, Kewanee, was arrested on a Warren County warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving while license suspended. She was unable to post bond and was taken to the Henry County Jail.
4-1 – to Sentry Estates to assist a citizen who had locked himself out.
4-1 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of SW 1st Ave., Caleb Newburry, 18, Oneida, was arrested for possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle and improper display of registration. He was released with a required court date.
4-1 – to a car-vs.-deer accident with damage only, just north of the high school. A crash report was completed.
4-2 – Officer, along with Stark County Medic, was dispatched to an unresponsive subject in Bishop Hill. The subject was found to be deceased. The coroner was notified.
4-3 – Officer located a subject driving a lawnmower in the middle of the roadway at 12:16 a.m. in the 200 block of NW 3rd Ave. As a result, Michael Bengston, 58, Galva, was arrested for driving while license revoked and improper lane usage. He was released with a required court date.
4-3 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of S. Center Ave., Dylan West, 18, Victoria, Nathan Whitman,19, Altona, Tyler West, 19, Victoria, and Todd Walker, 20, Altona, were all issued notices to appear for illegal possession and/or consumption of alcohol by a minor. They were released with required court dates.
4-3 – Officer, along with the fire department and Stark County Medic, were dispatched to a possible train derailment just west of town along Hayes Road. Officers checked the entire region, but were unable to locate.
4-3 – Officer, along with the Galva Fire Department and Stark County Medic, were dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2nd St. for a possible burning smell.
4-3 – Officer assisted the Kewanee Police Department with locating a subject in the 200 block of NE 4th St. in reference to an incident that occurred in Kewanee earlier. Contact was made and the message was delivered.
4-2 – Jeffrey Heinie, 57, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St.
