Brimfield OKs $13,000 repair of park pavilion
By LORI HEROLD For The Weekly Post BRIMFIELD – The Brimfield Village Board on Monday approved a $13,000 bid for extensive repair on the pavilion at the village park. A bid of $13,000 was awarded to Kirk Lewis to do repairs. Board President Dan Fishel said there hasn’t been any work done on the pavilion in years and these repairs should help it last for a long time. Princeville students sing backup for Beatles tribute
By CHLOE BLUNIER For The Prince PRINCEVILLE – A small group of Princeville students have been given the opportunity to sing backup for a series of Beatles celebration concerts. Called the Yoko Ono Choir, the group, led by Chris Delbridge, included Princeville students Natalie Bashusen, Chloe Blunier, Brianna Olshawsky, Sophie Noonen and Leah Wieland, Princeville alum Alex Lopez, Midland student Maddy Colby and community member Hillary Hartley. Other performers were a group of local musicians, including Cherry Whittaker, Jimmy Willis and Mathew Curry. The group was led by Craig Moore. Death at elevator under investigation WILLIAMSFIELD – Knox County Sheriff’s Detective Sergeant Brad Davis said he is still involved in an investigation into the death of Harold R. Bell, 58, of Laura. Galva schools extend Becker’s contract

Becker told the board that the Galva School District will have a high school math teacher vacancy for next year. City Administrator David Dyer attended the meeting and told the board that the City of Galva wants to create a new TIF district. He said the TIF would be for 23 years. After meeting in closed session, the board approved McGovern to replace Anne Snyder as Assistant Principal for the Junior/Senior high school. McGovern was unavailable for questions until next week.
