PRINCEVILLE – While his printing business may have opened on April 1, Jamie Patterson assures that Princeville Prints is no joke.
Patterson opening his business in Princeville was no accident, either. A 2003 graduate of Stark County High School who is originally from Bradford, Patterson said he did a lot of research in picking Princeville to open his storefront at 116 E. Main St., the former Hometown Bank building.
“I looked around. Princeville, was the best fit for me,” Patterson said. “I like the small-town charm.”
Another reason he picked Princeville is because it is a central location and a short drive from many surrounding towns.
It helps too that Patterson’s girlfriend, Melissa Sibley, graduated from Princeville, as did her children. And Patterson said his son attends Princeville and he likes it there.
The new storefront is part of a natural progression.
“I started making t-shirts for a band,” Patterson said to explain his start in the business.
That expanded to a home-based business, then online and now to the storefront – one of four at which he looked.
The 116 E. Main St. location offered more space for a showroomand for printing equipment. In addition to screen printing, Princeville Prints also offers graphic design, embroidery, signs, decals, tumblers and business cards.
“I want to help the small business owner,” Patterson said.
Hours of operation for now are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. Patterson may close at times on Mondays and Tuesdays to make free deliveries.
Princeville Prints can be reached by phone at (309) 643-8159, by email at princevilleprints@ gmail.com, or just by stopping by at the storefront at 116 E. Main St. in Princeville.
