Incidents and Accidents
Stark County

11-14 – Shortly before 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14, Pewnny M. Leafgreen, 58, of Altona was driving a 2021 Toyota RAV4 north in the 2500 block of Illinois Rte. 180 west of LaFayette when the vehicle struck a deer. The vehicle sustained disabling front-end damage and was towed. The accident impact killed the deer.
11-14 – Debra A. Ringberg, LaFayette, reported criminal damage to property after finding evidence of where her garage had been shot. The incident remains under investigation.
11-15 – Derek W. Elston, 34, Doniphan, Mo., was cited for failure to wear a seat belt.
11-16 – Cara A. Fernetti, 47, Bradford, was ticketed for driving on a suspended vehicle registration due to mandatory vehicle insurance.
11-17 – Antonysha R. Bailey, 22, Peoria, was arrested on a Peoria County warrant for failure to appear for driving revoked on a suspended vehicle registration, and on a Pike County warrant for failure to appear for driving revoked on a suspended vehicle registration. She posted $500 cash bond on the Peoria County warrant and $250 on the Pike County warrant before being released with new court dates to appear.

Galva Report
Officer dispatched:

11-13 – Officer met with a subject at the Galva Police Department in reference to an injured kitten that had been struck by a vehicle. The complainant decided to take the kitten to a veterinarian’s office for evaluation.
11-13 – to meet with a resident in the 200 block of NE 7th St. about a city ordinance building code violation.
11-13 – Kevin Pickett, 38, Galva, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 500 block of SW 4th St.
11-14 – A controlled burn of prairie grass was called in behind the Galva High School.
11-14 – to the 500 block of SW 3rd Ave. to check on a suspect of an earlier disturbance complaint that started in Cambridge. The victim refused to prosecute or cooperate.
11-14 – Officer was notified about a vehicle repossession taking place in the 400 block of SW 7th St. The vehicle was retrieved without an issue.
11-14 – Area law enforcement was notified to be on lookout for a suicidal subject possibly enroute from the Chicago area to the Galesburg area. The subject reportedly made comments about wanting suicide by cop and was carrying a realistic bb gun. Subject was not located.
11-15 – to the 600 block of NE 2nd St. for a disturbance involving an out-of-control juvenile.
11-15 – to assist a motorist in the 00 block of NE 6th Ave. The subject had run out of gas. Officer gave the subject a ride and vehicle was refueled and removed.
11-15 – to assist Henry County locate a vehicle driving in a pasture north of town. Officers were not able to locate the suspect vehicle.
11-15 – to the 00 block of SW 2nd St. for an activated alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
11-16 – to the 300 block of Front St. for a complaint involving a group of children playing in a construction zone that is fenced off.
11-16 – to assist Henry County with an intoxicated subject threatening others several miles west of Galva.
11-17 – to the 100 block of NE 1st St. for a complaint involving a physical domestic disturbance.
11-17 – Gail Kenney, 61, Galva, was issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign at the intersection of SE 2nd Ave. and SE 2nd St.
11-18 – to a loose-dog complaint in the 200 block of NW 4th Ave. The dog was returned to its owner.
11-18 – to Illinois Route 34 east of town to check on a subject walking. The subject, a Galva youth, was given a ride to his residence.
11-18 – Collin Kenyon, 19, Wales, Wis., cited for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St.
11-18 – Teygan Morris, 20, Metamora, cited for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St.
11-19 – to the 500 block of S. Center Ave. for a dog-bite complaint.
11-19 – Officer spoke to a resident in the 500 block of SE 1st St. about a city ordinance involving burning on a non-burn day.
11-19 – Officer spoke to a resident in the 100 block of NE 6th Ave. about a city ordinance involving burning on a non-burn day.
11-19 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 1st St., Christopher Talbot, 27, Geneseo, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for no insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
11-19 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of Commercial St., Hayley Anselmi, 29, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for no insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
