11-24 – A fight and battery incident was handled at the Spoon River Bowl establishment in downtown Wyoming. The incident remains under investigation.
Galva Report
Officer dispatched:
11-20 – to a residence on SW 7th Street to check the welfare of a child. They were fine.
11-20 – Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to file a report involving a lost or stolen front license plate.
11-20 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a fire that had been started close to the residence. The fire was out prior to the officer’s arrival.
11-21 – to the 100 block of Main Street for a complaint involving a verbal altercation and theft.
11-21 – to assist the Kewanee Police Depatment with locating a subject in the 400 block of NW 5th St. who got fuel in Kewanee earlier and the fuel was not paid for. The subject was located and returned to pay.
11-22 – to the 00 block of SW 2nd St. for a disturbance complaint. As the result, Anthony Sterling, 37, Galva, was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct. He was transported to the Galva Police Department for processing and then released with a required court date.
11-22 – to speak with a deputy from Peoria County about a runaway juvenile that may be staying in the Galva area.
11-23 – to the 100 block of NW 8th Ave. for a 911 hang-up call. It was determined to be a misdial.
11-23 – to the 600 block of SW 2nd Ave. for a loud music/party complaint. This complaint was unfounded.
11-23 – While patrolling, the officer noticed three of the five railroad crossings had been blocked by a stopped freight train for several hours. BNSF advised they were working on a mechanical issue. After several hours, the train moved along.
11-23 – to the 400 block of S. Center Ave. to answer questions about a recent incident.
11-23 – to the 800 block of NW 1st Ave. for a 911 call. It was determined to be a misdial.
11-23 – to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street to remove an unwanted subject.
11-24 – to assist Henry County with a single-vehicle rollover crash on County Highway 5 north of town.
11-24 – to the 500 block of SW 3rd St. for a reckless driving complaint. Officer located the suspect vehicle near SE 2nd St. and S. Center Ave. As a result, Victor Koelling, 76, Toulon, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. He was transported to the Henry County Jail.
11-24 – to the SW 6th Ave. railroad crossing for a crossing gate malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
11-25 – to the 500 block of SW 6th Ave. for an ongoing property-line dispute.
11-25 – to the 800 block of NE 3rd Ave. for an animal complaint.
11-26 – to the east end of town to watch for a reckless driver. Officer was not able to locate.
11-23 – A 17-year-old subject from Geneseo was issued a citation for speeding in the 800 block of N. Center Ave.
11-25 – Sarah Kaiser, 18, Galva, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 400 block of NW 1st Ave.
11-25 – Michael Eckardt, 30, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St.
11-25 – Rita Meaker, 53, Toulon, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd St.
