Stark County

1-27 – Gabriel M. Hubbard, 45, Buda, was cited for speeding 74 mph in a 55 zone.
1-28 – Keon A. Willis, 24, East Moline, was cited for speeding 70 mph in a 55 zone and for possession of adult-use cannabis in a vehicle by the driver. He was issued a court date.
1-30 – Kennie A. Young Jr., 27, Peoria, was ticketed for driving on a suspended vehicle registration and for operation of an uninsured vehicle. His vehicle was towed and impounded.
1-30 – Kari L. Sanders, 37, Sterling, was cited for possession of adult-use cannabis in a vehicle by a passenger. She was issued a court date.
2-1 – A 16-year-old Bradford teen was cited following a traffic stop for driving a vehicle without a valid registration and for improper use of vehicle registration. His vehicle was impounded and he was issued a court date.

Officer dispatched:

1-26 – to the 500 block of NW 5th Ave. for a loose-dog complaint. The dog was impounded and the owner was later contacted and signed over the dog for adoption.
1-26 – to follow up on a trespassing complaint from the previous day in the 700 block of SE 1st St.
1-27 – to assist Stark County Medic by driving the ambulance to a local hospital during a medical emergency on Trolley Road.
1-27 – to an activated burglar alarm in the 200 block of SW 2nd Ave. It was determined to be a false alarm.
1-27 – to the 800 block of NW 3rd Ave. for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer spoke to a subject who confirmed they had permission to be there.
1-27 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of SE 2nd St., Michael Guerrero, 33, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. He was released with a court date.
1-27 – to the 300 block of SW 3rd St. to assist a subject who appeared to be suffering from a mental-health crisis.
1-28 – to the 700 block of NW 5th Ave. for an attempted scam complaint.
1-28 – Officers from several agencies conducted a search warrant on a residence in the 200 block of SW 6th St.
1-29 – to the 1200 block of NW 3rd Ave. to assist a business.
1-29 – to the 500 block of West Division St. for a loose-dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate.
1-30 – to the NE 6th Ave. railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
1-30 – to the 600 block of NW 7th St. for a telephone-harassment complaint.
1-30 – to a residence on NE 6th Ave. for a welfare check. The resident was located in a local hospital.
1-30 – to the 400 block of SW 3rd Ave. for a verbal-domestic disturbance.
1-30 – to the 1000 block of SW 2nd St. for a suspicious vehicle complaint. A subject needed directions, which were provided.
1-31 – to the 00 block of SW 4th St. for a 911 hang-up complaint. The owner was updating a cell phone and accidentally called.
1-31 – to the east edge of town for a reckless driving complaint. The suspect vehicle was located, but no violations were observed.
1-31 – to the 500 block of SW 3rd Ave. for a 911 hang up-complaint. It was determined to be a child playing with a phone.
1-31 – to a residence on NE 9th St. for a suicidal subject who had made threats to a friend over the phone. Officer was able to contact the suspect by phone, but they denied being in the Galva area.
2-1 – Officer met with a subject at the Galva Police Department to update their annual sex offender registration. A completed copy was emailed to Henry County for LEADS entry.
2-1 – to the 100 block of SW 4th St. for a telephone-harassment complaint.
