Stark County Report
5-22-20 – William J. Self, 39, Toulon, reported the theft of items after an unknown individual broke into his car. The incident remains under investigation.
5-30-20 – Kenny Sargeant, 40, Keithsburg, was issued a notice to appear for driving without insurance.
5-30-20 – A 17-year-old Speer juvenile was cited for driving an uninsured vehicle.
5-31-20 – Alexandria C. Axelson, 37, Kewanee, was issued a notice to appear for driving without vehicle insurance. Axelson was also cited on June 2, for a second violation listed as driving an uninsured vehicle.
6-1-20 – Travis G. Riddle, 27, Bloomington, was ticketed for driving without insurance.
6-2-20 – Cassidy P. Bishop, 31, Kewanee, was ticketed for speeding 67 mph in a 55 zone, and for possession of adult use of cannabis in a vehicle.
6-2-20 – James J. Marquez, 23, Lincoln, was arrested for driving while his license was suspended, and for driving on an expired registration. He was released with a notice to appear.
6-3-20 – Joshua J. Fuller, 40, Peoria, was cited for following too closely, and for speeding 64 mph in a 55 zone.
6-4-20 – Duane J. Shaw, 33, Kewanee, was ticketed for loud exhaust.
6-4-20 – Richard G. Letteney Jr., 48, of Canton, was cited for driving with no rear registration light, and for driving without a valid driver’s license. He was released with a notice to appear.
6-6-20 – Juvenile problems were the source of a complaint investigated at the Allendale Conservation Club located on the Modena Blacktop.
6-6-20 – Jessica N. Waddell, 24, Toulon, was cited for loud exhaust and for driving without vehicle insurance.

6-1-20 – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street for a complaint of a domestic dispute involving juveniles.
6-1-20 – Officer warned a citizen who had a dog running loose at Wiley Park about the leash law.
6-1-10 – Officer spoke to a Kewanee resident by telephone about assisting her with retrieving a car that she loaned to a subject and failed to return it. Officer was not able to locate it.
6-1-20 – Officer spoke to a subject by telephone in reference to a theft that occurred in the 400 block of NW 1st Ave.
6-1-20 – Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 1st Street for telephone threat.
6-1-20 – Officer, along with the fire department and Stark County Medic, were dispatched to a vehicle fire just east of town on Route 34.
6-2-20 – Officer dispatched to the 400 block of SE 7th Ave. for harassing text messages.
6-3-20 – Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 2nd Ave. for a complaint involving a juvenile riding a bicycle in the rain with lightning
in the area. Officer was unable to locate anyone.
6-3-20 – Officer dispatched to the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street to check on the welfare of a subject sitting in a ditch.
6-3-20 – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Street for a civil complaint involving a vehicle purchase.
6-3-20 – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of NE 2nd Street for a young child playing near the roadway unattended. DCFS was contacted.
6-3-20 – As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd Street, Bailey Leverette, 20, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and having one headlight. He was released with a Henry County court date.
6-4-20 – Officer dispatched to the railroad crossing on Exchange Street for a report of a semi knocking down the crossing arm. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
6-4-20 – Officer met with a
resident who located drugs
while cleaning out a vacant
house. The items were taken
for disposal.
6-5-20 – Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave. to direct traffic for the Galva Street Dept.
6-5-20 – Officer dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street for a complaint involving a small child left in a vehicle unattended.
6-6-20 – Officer dispatched to the 900 block of SW 9th Ave. for a traffic complaint.
6-6-20 – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of SW 1st Ave. to assist a resident who caught a raccoon in a live trap.
6-7-20 – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of SW 4th Street to remove an unwanted subject following a disturbance.
6-7-20 – Officer assisted the Henry County Sheriff’s Office with a suspicious vehicle/warrant arrest on 300 North just east of town.
6-7-20 – Officer dispatched to meet with a complainant at the Galva Police Dept. After an investigation, Michael Rouch, 31, Galva, was issued a notice
to appear in Henry County Court for a charge of harassment through electronic communications.
6-7-20 – Officer dispatched to the 00 block of Wallace Street for a fireworks complaint. Officer was unable to locate the source of the fireworks.
6-7-20 – Officer met with a resident at the Galva Police Dept. to update their sexoffender registration.
6-7-20 – Officer warned a resident in the 00 block of SW 9th Ave. about lighting illegal fireworks.
